Anyone else think the toonami bb opening sucks??

whats w/ the toonami bb opening? it sucks, and its completely pointless since the majority of it is made up of bb's regular begining. so they might as well just use the regular begining. also, as much a i love mr. freeze his "remember, there might be some momentary discomfort" line, the transition from the toonami opening and the title card just doesnt work. thoughts...

Its ok. But I definitely prefer the original. Plus it doesn't seg-way (pronunciation spelling) into the title.

it sucks eggs. The way they end it then show the ep name (w/ the music still playing a bit I might add) is pure crap. Bring back the old oppening! :mad:

Agree totally, I just saw the new opening for the first time yesterday and I thought it was pretty lame. Why mess with success? Seriously, does anyone know why they did this? And the worst part really is when they cut to the episode title card, the change in the soundtrack is embarassingly obvious as it quickly cuts to the end of the original BB theme. CTN dropped the ball on this one.

Yeah, CN's BB open is quite mediocre, not as dramatic as Superman's was. I do, however, like when we hear Mr. Fixx's remark "You're pretty strong for a clown who thinks he's Batman" and then Terry's "I am Batman". I also think the promos in between commercial breaks could have been jazzed up a little too with better quotes.

What they do do is mix the two intros togethor, but have the last 5 - 10 seconds of the original intro untouched so it can lea dinto the title cards without a problem. Have new music or clips or whatever just lea dinto the final parts of the original intro and then - BAM! - problem solved.

the segue's sloppy; Batman Beyond in the Toonami-esque font doesn't look right; the music isn't that good...

seriously, the original theme song was much better. if toonami really wants to make those openings, they should just air both openings, like they did for superman and batman (usually bats and supes had both openings if you remember). thats the ideal thing.

Maybe Toonami will get back to the original opening soon. I prefer the original myself. If only they'd do a better job meshing the new intro into the show.

Maybe we should have seen this coming. I mean, Cartoon Network is known for mixing up some AWESOME promotional material for their cool shows. But Batman Beyond ALREADY had one! So I guess things went a little wonky there. CN did work that wasn't even neccessary to be done! :p

I definitely prefer the original. The music rocked and I liked the sequence of it better than the Toonami opening. And like many have pointed out already, the title card popping up at the end of the Toonami intro kinda feels like it was just thrown in there because of the sudden difference in the music. I'm really hoping CN brings back the original opening.

I hate the new opening. it's awful! I loved the original one and CN needs to put it back on.
