I noticed that there are a number of actors out there that I don't like that somehow end up doing great voice-over work.

Pauly Shore- Bobby (A Goofy Movie)
I always found Shore annoying, though his persona and delivery works perfectly for Bobby, a slacker dude who loves his spray cheese too much.

Denis Leary/John Leguizamo/Ray Romano- Ice Age cast
I never liked these actors, but the chemistry among them in Ice Age works, especially Leguizamo's lisping sloth Sid.

Tim Allen- Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)
Allen's voice and delivery worked perfectly.

David Spade- Kuzco (The Emperor's New Groove)
A bratty young ruler fits well with Spade's persona.

Here's another voice actor:

Ben Stein (Any Cartoon Voice)
You can reconize his deadpan voice in any cartoon character he does. The party clown in Jimmy Neutron, the pixie in Fairly Oddparents, and Stanley
Ipkiss' shrink in The Mask.

I can't stand Kathy Griffin, but I liked her as Alice in Dilbert.

I don't really care for Brittany Murphy, but I liked her as Luann on King of the Hill.

It does make sense, that obnoxious actors would do a good job voicing obnoxious characters.

So did Mike Myers said in an HBO interview about "The Making Of Shrek" that
he meet never Eddie Murphy (The voice of "Donkey") during the making of the
movie. I think that's how some cartoon voices are done. If I were picked to do
voice cartoons (Except Adult Cartoons), that's how I would like it. I am kind of
shy at times.

I've always found it impossible to have a personal opinion about a person I've never met... For example, I too find all of Pauley Shore's movies annoying, and don't care for his humor... But does this make him a bad person? For all we know, he's a cool guy to hang out with, and a nice guy. :p Movie, TV show and voice actors must really get rubbed the wrong way whenever they ecounter people that think they know them based on their roles that they do while doing their job...
