I don't about you but I'm psyced to hear Mark Hamill voicing not only more classic Joker, but Solomon Grundy. I can't even imagine how that will sound. But fantasic no doubt. I love Mark Hamill! Skywalker, Blyflocker. He'll always be The Joker to me, and no one else.

I was reading an old Kevin Conroy interview at Joker-inc and he was saying how Mark literally looks and acts like the Joker when he does the voice for him. He's veins buldge, his face gets wild. Creepy huh?

Considering he's an actor? Nope. ;) Hehehe. The creepiness is outweighed by how much I hear myself say yet agan: "Yup! That's MY Joker!!" lol.

in the same inteview, conroy says while everyone else is sitting down to record the voiceovers, hamill is standing up and flailing his arms around. he puts so much into it and it shows.

I think he leaves Jack Nicholson in the dust. Hope I'm not devil's advocate by saying that, but I don't think in this group that would be the case. The third best Joker would be a tie between Cesar Romero and the guy from the On*star commercial.

While Jack Nicholson is certainly creepy, I'd have to agree that Mark Hamill has proven himself to be a truly stellar Joker, especially in ROTJ.
And I'd love to see a clip of him voice-acting the part...

Well, remember in "Batman Animated" how Timm says that Hamill's performance of the eulogy in "The Man Who Killed Batman" was so evocative that the storyboard of that scene practically drew itself. I don't know that they had Hamill's physical performance in mind, but I imagine it wasn't that different from what Timm eventually produced on screen.

If I had to pick one recording session to attend, that would have been the one. Not only Mark Hamill bringing out the "ham" in his name, but also for Arleen Sorkin's kazoo rendition of "Amazing Grace." From Timm's accounts, the recording crew barely got it on tape, they were laughing so hard...
