How do you type?

I use just two index fingers (the ones by the thumb right?). I type pretty good that way.

I do the ol' textbook method, fingers on home row, thumbs on space.

The way I was taught in typing class in High school. Home row and all that jazz.. The most boring class in the world, but thanks to it, I am a touch typer and I couldn't imagine my life on the internet not being able to type like this..

Meh, I was never really taught the touch type system. I just use my index, middle, and ring fingers, and I more often than not have to look at the keyboard as I type.

I use my index fingers for all the keys except the space bar...for which I use my thumb. I also use the caps lock to capitalize more often than not. :)

I taught myself to type, so I have my own style. I guess it's sort of similar to home row, but not really. Instead of moving just a finger or two at a time, I move my whole hands over the keyboard. I usually make several errors, but I type so fast that it doesn't deter me to hit the Backspace key fairly often. I don't have to look at the keyboard, it's just my own natural way.

I've tried to learn traditional home row typing, but it's just not comfortable...

Typically, my fingers hover over the keys, with my pinky fingers resting on the "A" and ";", which is actually where they'd be were I typing home row style... I don't hunt and peck at all, but I do occassionally have to glance down to reposition those pinky fingers... some day, I should mod my keyboards so my pinkies can feel where they belong, on their own. :p

Well, I first learned to type the "correct" way back in a Grade 10 keyboarding class (fingers on the home row and such), and I've been doing it the same way ever since.

I was taught how to type the traditional way but it just doesn't work for me. I type mostly with my index fingers and middle fingers.(depending on how adventurous i feel i might even type with my freshly pedied toesies)

For the most part, I only use the two index fingers when typing. Numerous attempts to teach me how to type with the so-called "home row" over the years have failed, and I unofficially gave up (again) last year.

I type with my Finger but my Typing Style is EXTREMELEY BIZARRE. I only Type with my Pointer Fingers.
