Heya folks.
I know this will bore the tears out of most of you, but bear with me, as this I've been wondering about this for a long time...
I've been thinking about what would have happened in the fourth season finale of Ally McBeal if Robert Downey Junior hadn't been arrested. The final episode, entitled "The Wedding", ending up having nothing to do with a wedding in any way, shape or form, yet all the necessary guest characters were still featured. Here's a little article:

Had Robert Downey Jr. not gotten arrested last April on drug charges, he and Calista Flockart would have walked down the aisle on the season finale of Ally McBeal. "I don't know that [Larry and Ally] were actually going to get married, but there was going to be a ceremony and then something was going to happen," former Ally star Gil Bellows tells TV Guide Online. Downey's arrest, however, forced series creator David E. Kelley to pen a hasty exit for the troubled thesp. Also in the original script, Bellows's deceased Billy character was to give Flockhart's Ally "counsel" prior to the nuptials. Responds a show rep: "We only comment on the final scripts that are shot."
I also heard that a "House" set which was being built (presumably for the newlyweds) was torn down. Couldn't track down that article.
All this to say...the show is dead and gone. It died a miserable, drawn-out painful death in Season Five, and I've always wanted to know what was in the original script. Some say it had a cliff-hanger in which Ally bumps into Billy's ghost while walking down the ilse to wed Larry...which I'd like to believe is true.
If anyone of you could help me piece this mystery together...I promise I wouldn't repeat anything. I just want to know that Ally could have ended up happy.
