I haven't looked at the extras yet (I'll reply later on it), but I did notice a "easter egg" of sorts: On the back of the case, it says the movie is only in English. But when you go to "Languages", you will see that you can also watch the movie in French.

EDIT: Ok, I finished the extras and I am very pleased that they included some of the recording sessions AND interviews with the cast. I also liked the roundtable discussion about the movie. The bios were somewhat forgettable and I kind of liked the DVD commercials (though it was odd to see a X-Men commercial on a Batman disc).

P.S.: "Chase Me" was better than the actual movie. It felt like a classic BTAS episode (minus dialogue of course) and I would love to see more of these shorts in the future (I hope they include "Gotham Girls" shorts in any future discs; more Catwoman is always a good thing). Summary: A

Well, the extras on this DVD were pretty nice, though a bit underwhelming. I'll throw in my "Chase Me" comments in the appropriate thread, but the other extras were nice. The behind-the-scenes stuff was interesting, though the usual fluffy stuff. And man, the spoilers! Even the scene selection images were packed with spoilers. Luckily I jumped immediatly to the movie instead of going through the disc first. The trailers were somewhat disappointing. They had trailers for the two DVD waves from earlier this year, but none for "Batwoman."

The inclusion of "Chase Me" makes up for some of the shortcomings the DVD had in the extras department. The first featurette was good if only so you could see the faces of all the voices (with the notable absence of Stiers). The second discussion with the crew had a few good tidbits (why the name "Kane" couldn't be used, Burnett telling us that he wasn't going for anything dark or edgy). The making of a scene was pretty useless though - a rush through of what could've been a very detailed featurette.

I forget what else there was, but I think it was all kiddie games - I'm surprised there wasn't a video for that song from the movie.

But Chase Me, which I don't think was on the VHS, was a good inclusion.

i was a bit disappointed with the making of a scene featurette. i expected to see some insight into storyboarding from the scipt and vocal performances. i thought we'd get a brief look at the storyboarder(s) crafting a scene and whatnot.

but that's not what i got. this featurette bothered me because i was really hoping to get some insight on storyboarding. it wasn't bad, but it told me things i already knew. it might be new and informative to someone else though.

i really enjoyed the sit down discussion with the crew. that was great, maybe more interesting than a director's commentary.

overall, a nice special features package.

btw, are there any easter eggs on this dvd?

(im surprised there so little responses so far)

Are you sure you're checking out the right thread? This thread is apparently for the DVD itself (like, extras and such), while this thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=92230) appears to be for discussion of the actual movie.

Maybe if you ask, one of the mods will move this and bereang's posts into that thread?

Mod Note: Ask and you shall receive! Done!

I actually went through the kiddie extras last night, and I noticed something odd in the bad-gadgets section: under Batwing, they list it as a modified, compact version of the Batplane? Did we ever get a Batplane? I always thought that from BTAS to JL, it was known as the Batwing.

I've now watched the region 1 copy, and because of how it kind of stalls for a second at one point when Sonia (the police officer) is about to confess to Batman, I just want to check: when Batman says to her, "... you had the scheme, and the will to make it happen", the next thing we see is Sonia talking (and starting to confess) with her back to the 'camera' while Batman watches her, right? If anyone can check this for me, please, I'd be really grateful. The movie sort of pauses for a couple of seconds after Batman's dialogue and I'm wondering if anything was missed out.

Bane's exit looked a bit strange to me too (don't know why). It seemed a bit choppy, the way he falls, tries to grab onto some debris, then is consumed by the flames. Meh, maybe I saw all there was to see and nothing was 'skipped' by the DVD.

I've noticed that pause on my copy too, probably just a layer change or something.

Same for the Bane part u asked about.
