Who here would like to see Young Justice introduced in JL? Who would you see on the roster. How would they explain the origins of Superboy and Impulse?

Please, no. The Justice League will be just fine without adding teenage duplications of the existing members. I want the Justice League...not "Justice League Creek."

Have you ever read the comic? I like it, it's pretty good. Just because they're teenagers doesn't mean a crossover would suck and be "JL Creek" as you call it. The characters are far from teenage duplications of other characters, they all have personalities of their own. Superboy is nowhere near the Boy Scout Superman is. I think that it would be neat to have a crossover for one story, but I don't think that they'll do it because they'd feel like they had to explain some of the characters like Superboy and Wonder Girl.

The comic handles teen angst the most proper way ever seen, a lot better than a WB teen show. It was up there in the standards of JLA's writing standards and still pleased fans of JLA and the young heroes. Still is I beleive, I had to stop reading for budget restraints, I read from issue 1 to like 20 i beleive. But I dont think you have to worry, they wont show up, Timm would have mentioned it, the only super hero team this season besides JL is that JSA look a like team. Who knows about season 2 though.

My concept for an Animated continuity Superboy origin would be to have Luther try to clone Superman again(as in “Identity Crisis”). But to keep it from turning into another Bizarro, they freeze the aging process in the genes. This way the DNA never grows and never mutates. But as soon as the teenage clone comes out of the tube it defies Luther’s commands. The body is forever filled with too many hormones to program anything in its brain. He hits on Mercy bragging “Hey, doll, I’m Superman!” But shooting him down she sneers, “More like Superboy!” Upset at the disrespect Superboy flies threw the roof, leaving Luther to turn to Mercy and state “You’ve got a real habit for naming these freaks.”

Strutting through Metropolis, Superboy gets some much needed clothes, including a Superman t-shirt with leather jacket, and an earring which he painlessly jams through his ear(after breaking many other pair which wouldn’t go through his flesh). He expects the clothes for free, being Superman. But meets much conflict from the shop owner, who calls a police officer, who with his raging hormones doesn’t find much respect inside for. Superman arrives at the scene of the reported shoplift and heads out looking for the “Superboy”. Superboy meets up with Superman, or in his teenage mind set of oppression and class-struggle “The Man”.

The Supeses, fight. Catching some innocent people in the cross fire, in the form of falling flaming debris. Superboy tries to save them revealing a heart but also revealing his venerable to fire. So Superman finishes the people saving as well as saving ‘Boy, and Superboy is humbled albeit painfully. Luther and his men show up with Kyptonite to kill Superboy, which as it turns out he is not venerable to(I don’t know if this was ever the case in the comics, but this is my story). But Luther still takes the chance to kill ‘Man. And Superboy has to save Superman from Luther and his men. Pheww... If I have to type the word “man” or "super" one more time I’ll pop.

man that was a really cool origin for superboy, and would be great if they were still doing superman episodes, but how do you fit it into the context of JL?

Actually it'd be very simple.

Supergirl, Robin (Tim Drake) and then drop the 30th century baggage from Impulse and have him basically play the Kid Flash role.

Yeah I could see Supergirl replacing Superboy too, but I really wish it could be superboy, and I can also see the whole Impulse/Kid Flash thing, though I hope they don't give him an identical origin to Wally's like they did with him and Barry.

Assuming JL gets further episodes/seasons ordered they could probably have room to origin new charcters into their Animated DCU continuty like they did all the time with the Superman and Batman shows.

You asked how my Superboy origin could be worked into JL. Simple, just have some other member patroling Metropolis with Superman and then knock him out for the count when he'd get in the way. I had come up with that story back when Superman was still in new episodes.
