They were supposed to play Never Fear, Joker's Millions, and Growing Pains this week, but all I got when flipping on Toonami was Superman, Tenchi Muyo, and a butt-load of DragonBall Z. What happened? Was there some last minute change I didn't hear about?

Not exactly last minute. This has been common knowledge for the past couple of weeks. With TOONAMI reduced to 2 hours, BATMAN and GUNDAM were cut from the lune-up for now. And as of JUNE 4TH, so will SUPERMAN. Cardcaptors will have a limited run on TOONAMI, after which Batman or Superman will return to the 5pm (ET) slot.

Cardcaptors:confused: ? Are they trying to kill me?

It will begin June 4th and they'll air all the episodes, which lea dup to a special hour airing of the last new episodes aired on Kids'WB!.

Why don't they just launch an all-Pokemon, all-Cardcaptors network and be done with it.

Oh, wait, they already did! It's called "Kid's WB". . . .

Thankfully they didn't go overboard on Cardcaptors. But be on the look out for Yu-Gi-Oh, the fad that replaced Pokemon across the sea. More bad news? 4Kids bought the series and I hear that it's on the way to Kids'WB! for a spring replacement. Be afraid.

Wot's Yu-Gi-Oh about? Anybody know?

Thanks for the info, but why was Toonami cut? And why the hell do these fat American business men feel that they can replace quality programming like Batman with cheap, mass-produced anime?

I think your use of the word "cheap" goes a long way toward answering your own question . . . ;)

Good point, Zeus.

Does anybody know if it will come back any time EVER?

Do you mean Batman or Toonami?

With the Batman Beyond and Batman: Year One movies on the horizon, there's some small ray of hope that new episodes will be ordered -- something to help with cross-promotion.

But that's far from a sure thing, and would be far off in the future anyway. . . . :(

Either, really. I have some hope for Toonami, since American interest in GOOD, non-Pokemon related anime is up, but any new TNBAs is a long shot. I stopped praying to the WB god a long time ago, and I think they got the message. Damn, I miss it. And I hadn't even taped Growing Pains, yet!!

I wish they'd at least put Batman on the Midnight Run (Batman, at 12am, it just seems right). Too much DBZ right now.

Superman needs a break. Tenchi needs a break. DBZ needs a break from Cell.

Batman was on at 12:30am (or was it 11:30pm) for awhile early in it's run. It just seems right thast it be a late night show.

Ugh, don't remind me. I saw a promo for it at E3, and apparently it's an inexplicable combination of Pokemon and Cardcaptors that manages to be even MORE blatantly commercial than Pokemon, if that's possible. There's collectible cards, video games (about collecting cards... how conveeeeenient), toys, etc. It's taking Japan by storm, and Konami has promised to cover the U.S. in Yu-Gi-Oh crap. You've been warned.

Actually, with Cardcaptors, they haven't gone all out yet. Sure it's not as popular, but they haven't force fed it down our throat slike Pokemon. Still, the show is iffy at best, but not as bad as that yellow rat and little kid.

I think that when it is finally on the air CN should start from episode I (Cat & The Claw) and air them all in order that way we can tape them and watch them when they put something else like Cardcaptors? on

I predict when BATMAN returns, they will start from episode one again. I think they should. I'd love to see the show go seven days a week. It has the episode count to do so, anyways.
