Kay KIyser's had to be one of mos underrated bands even to wualify as swing. An odd duck, his band offered a most intriuging combo of swing, sweet, boogie, jive, nobelty, standards, and show tunes. Ginny Simms, ('94), Ish Kabibble(93),Kyser himself (85), and now Harry.
Other tunes were
STRIP POLKA
THREE LITTLE FISHIES
MAIRZY DOATS
THINKING OF YOU,the Kyser theme.
Kinda the WWIII Big band equivalent to Three Dog Night (the equally versatile and commercial popular 1970s rock band)-Glenn Miller would be the other band, and Bing Crosby (who's got a posthumour birthday a-comin;), the crooning, equivalents as far as ultra-versatilty goes.

Gee! And I thought only Mel Blanc and Grace Stafford did Woody's voice...
