The comic inspired by the Cartoon Network series continues. The Justice League saves four space travelers from an unknown planet named Daxam. John Delaney? Ugh...well - at least they're having him early so they can get him out of the way.

This is so NOT BT's style... why hasn't Delaney already figured that out ???

Come on, give JD a break!!! That really looks good. Very cool cover, I'm sure the inside of the book will be just as good if not better...

As long as he has a good inker, he may be tolerable. His stuff in Adv. In The DCU was laughable at best, and I'd hate to see his art drag down the series. I just wish they'd get some good animated veteran talent on there.

...like it could be any worse :)
From what I see on the cover: the perspective looks off, the caracters lack consistency, in short... it's a far cry from topping the worst BT drawing ever....

LOL! Well, the issue may actually turn good. The writer is great, and the inker may help out. I'm just not really looking forward...

Yeah, it's a week cover, very stiff.
Once the colors on there we'll be all over it though, like moths to fire...No?cool:
Story sounds like standard fair. Daxam? Isn't that where Mon-El of the Legion is from? Is this something out of "ancient" DC, or are these all new characters?
Yet another arcane but promising link to Superman's long lost past gone amiss story...I'll buy it:D :

I won't judge the cover until I see the final version in my hands, but I think it looks ok. But I do agree we need the best artists on this book possible. And apparently the inkers are the ones who really muddle things up. Anybody check out Vokes' art on his website? The stuff he has full creative control over looks great, but his work in Superman Adventures makes me want to pitch it out the window. Go figure.

Randy Elliot is a new name to me, but he'll be inking the cover and interior to the issue. And from looks of the cover...*groan*...

I still stand by it. It's all an opinion thing. At the very least you've got to respect him. I mean, how many of you are penciling an issue of this book?... JMHO...

I'll definatly be giving the issue a shot. I may be pleasently suprised by it. I'm just not expecting much...

Well, DG, as long as you'll give it a chance, I won't act all huffy about all this:p Seriously, though, the artwork does look a lot better than any of the ADCU books ever did...

I'll agree with you on that. Those books were just...not right. Even an animated artist/writer said that his art style just doesn't belong in the animated world - and I agree with that! But I wil lgive the new ish a chance. It's possible he's improved since 1998.
