Okay, I feel special. For any of you who visit the official home of The Hurricane, ShaneHelms.com (http://www.shanehelms.com/) (and for those who don't), our favorite superhero has been trying to figure out if he's wrestled in 49 of the 50 states (http://home.att.net/~shanehelms/diary/2004/d021304.htm). He knows he hasn't been to Alaska, but in he stopped keeping track of the places he went to partway through his WCW career and didn't have South Dakota, New Hampshire and Wyoming on his lists from his WWE career....
"So with the exclusion of Alaska, where I know have never been, there is a possibility that I have wrestled in the other 3 while with WCW. So if anyone reading this is from one of those 3 states and you remember seeing me live or know of a WCW show that I was on in one of these states, please let me know. I think it would just be a cool thing to say, that you have wrestled in all of the United States."
Anyway, after reading that I sent him an e-mail that I saw him wrestle with Shannon Moore against Kaz Hayashi and Jamie-San (Noble) of the Jung Dragons on April 13, 2000 at the Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, SD. The Dragons won the match though. He even responded back, "Cool, thanks dude!"
In Shane's latest commentary (http://home.att.net/~shanehelms/diary/2004/d041604.htm) (also on WWE.com (http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1257690)) he confirms South Dakota, "I've added South Dakota to the list of states I've wrestled in, bringing the tally to 47! Still no confirmation on New Hampshire or Wyoming though." In the commentary, Shane also touches on why he is no longer wearing the top half of his costume. ;)
Anyway WWE fans, I just wanted to share my internet brush with a superstar and maybe one of you can even help Shane out if you saw him wrestle with WCW in New Hampshire or Wyoming.
