Oh, nice ones! Jack: cool....I have a mug that has all of Sylvester's scared poses like that on it, and the axe-murderer Hubie Mouse also. Gotlucky 64: very honorable avatar...but you no general...you Bugs Bunny, star of Warner Brother Leon Schlesinger Merrie Melodies cartoon pictahsssss....! Patrick: We all live in a yellow submarine...yellow submarine....hey, we can work it out! I wanna hold your hand, come together right now, over me! But if we give peas a chance, won't the greenbeans get jealous? Brian: "Pavlov's Mice". funny cartoon....narf! Jon: maybe he should switch to spinach....then he'd be stong to the finish. Happyheathen: I don't know why, but I'm scared of that cat...he gives me the creeps. I sure wouldn't want to be a mouse, like Pietro up there...it's a small world after all.

I just saw "Shrek" today! I thought it was very well done...the animation was superb, the voices were good, and it was a really funny film....a lot funnier, in fact, if you can make out all the parodies in there, mainly of Disney. Eddie Murphy is particularly good, he pretty much carries the thing in the voice department. Notice that his character is the exact opposite of Disney sidekicks...whereas Disney would have a cute, furry animal (see Abu or Iago in "Aladdin", Timon and Pumbaa in "Lion King", the apes in "Tarzan", the crab and fish in "Little Mermaid")this is an ugly donkey. Shrek tells the donkey to shut up often, whereas in a Disney flick, the audience would like the sidekick to shut up, but the hero doesn't ever give the command. Most of Disney's sidekicks are played by nerdy and/or gay white actors, the donkey here is played by a straight black guy. Other takeoffs I noticed:
Spoiler Space
"Snow White'
"Sleeping Beauty'
"Peter Pan"
"Pinocchio"
"Dumbo"
"It's a Small World After All"/Disneyland
The Smurfs
"Babe"
action/fighting video games
"Robin Hood"
"The Lion King"
"Beauty and the Beast"
The Barnyard Dawg (a dragon is the subject of the "leash" gag)
"Indiana Jones"
There are lots and lots of others, including some refreshingly off-color gags (including lots of donkey jokes like "I have to save my ass", and "nobody likes to kiss ass", etc.) There are several sexual innuendoes and a few rather annoying bathroom jokes...but the potty humor works for this character. The music is good, including a cover of the Monkee's "I'm a Believer" done by Smashmouth and Eddie Murphy. If you have not seen this, go see it!

Alright, I'll switch my avatar too... here goes!
Ahhh! Something new has been added!
BTW - "Spoiler space" is a way to warn people that you are about to give away part of the plot to a show or movie. It's a nice courtesy to include one so that you don't spoil it for someone who would prefer to go in without knowing the plot... It t'aint nuthin' new. It's been pretty common on usenet and message boards for many years.

A co-ink-ee-dink...? The banned bunny cartoons are understandably popular right now... :)
The campdown races sing this song, a-DO-dah, DO-dah!
(He lowers his voice to a whisper)
Pssst, Thad - maybe that should be "The campdown ladies sing this song..." :)
In today's PC atmosphere I realize that this song isn't taught properly... so here are the lyrics (http://www.library.utoronto.ca/utel/rp/poems/fosters5.html) ;)
