Anime-related Power Rangers question

There is an episode from one of the early seasons where the rangers transform. Bulk and Skull capture it on videotape. When they show the tape at the end of the episode, instead of seeing transforming rangers on the screen, it has an anime showing a little girl laughing.

My memory is a bit fuzzy and I don't remember what the episode was, but if anyone remembers it, what was the anime showing on the TV? Did Saban randomly insert clips from anime properties they own into the show in certain episodes?

I only remember a few things about that show (sadly not the name).


It was another Saban show at the time. It was an educational cartoon.

It was about a bunch of kids, some animal, and a guy that turns into a bull. They go through history and learn some stuff. It wasn't that good since it cast off into the far AM hours of cartoons.

The Why Why Family? Used to watch that on WB, but it wasn't an anime. Unless it's a different show.

I remember one episode where they were in detention with the rest of the Rangers, and Bulk and Skull were watching a cartoon about a boy and his blue genie. I used to watch that show on YTV, and it just happened to be a Saban production, too. I'm not sure if it's Japanese or not, but I'm pretty sure it's not. I think it was Australian, or something.

Anyways, would that happen to be the show you're thinking of?

IIRC, Bulk and Skull caught the group morphing on tape in "The Power Stealer", and Billy switches it with another tape, which has a cartoon on it. Is that the one you mean?
