According to the rumor mill at www.thedigitalbits.com ,

Disney has stated that they plan on releasing their entire cartoon library to DVD through the "Disney Treasures" series. They seem to want to "hide" clips within their DVD's since clips from Der Furher's Face and Victory Through Air Power appeared on the Snow White DVD (a lengthy clip of Japanese bombers attacking Pearl Harbor from VTAP is used in the 1940's segment of Snow White's decade history)

I think it's just their way of saying "all cartoons, but..."
What do you guys think? BS or not?

I've already pre-ordered the Silly Symphony and Mickey Mouse DVD sets (They're advertised as uncensored, so I'm hoping the original cut of Three Little Pigs is on the Silly Symphony disc...) and I have high hopes for them.

I am going to hold off on buying any of the DVDs until after they are out and I hear feed back, cuz I really don't want to buy censored toons, and I don't trust them when they say uncensored!

After the Fantasia hoopla, and the recalling of other movies due to two to three frames of animation being removed, I have a very hard time trusting Disney and believing this....:o

Maybe the cartoons will all come out, uncensored, but scenes we shouldn't see will be blacked out, zoomed into the uppermost field picas, or acted with shadow puppets. Technically, it would still be "uncensored" :p

I'll believe it when someone reports that they really are uncensored on DVD!

Until then, I won't purchase one of Disney's DVDs!

I really have a hard time believing that Disney will release their entire cartoon library on dvd, uncut & uncensored.....

Until that ever happens(which I think it wont) I have the entire censored Disney cartoons on video, and very good prints as well.So you have me for that collection.

But does anybody really think that Disney will release their ENTIRE cartoon collection? Will we see such shorts as:"Trader Mickey", "Education For Death", "Der Fuehrer's Face", "Mickey's Mellerdramer", on dvd? Don't think so

Or for that matter, The Song of the South either uncut or just its animation sequences?

If they do, though, good on 'em. Other studios could take a hint from this....

since the little (I'm not supposed to say it) pulled 'Song' from the shelves in UK, I don't really expect the bean-counters to suddenly find spines...
