Cartoon Brew has an article about the Kill Bill anime that will come out after the movie. I don't think we've ever had a topic on it. I can't imagine where it would go if not AS.
It would be a dream to work on. Too bad it's Japanese.

I think that was a rumor that got denied Jim.

As far as I know, they still very much intend to do the animated prequal to Kill Bill.

That would be pretty shweeeeet.
If it is announced, it probably will hit AS.

Keep in mind who the man who will be behind this anime is, the content of the Kill Bill anime might turn out to be too much for AS, even with edits.
Hopefully by that point the AS standards will have caught up to the Tarentino violence.

What if it were to go on that Anime channel by ADV?

It's going to be have Disney connections, why would it be on Adult Swim?

It's going to be have Disney connections, why would it be on Adult Swim?Because... it like all other anime that has anything remotely violent, sexual content, and/or language should be by definition on Adult Swim.[/Sarcasm]

You are right since it is distributed by Miramax, it seems it might end up on Starz! or Encore Action.

Bionacle is connected to Disney. Not as closely as Kill Bill.

Not as closely as Kill Bill.
Well, I don't see how that's the case. QT owns the rights to the Japanese cut of Vol 1.

Not specifically related to anime, but Tarentino has apparently said he would like to do a third episode of Kill Bill.

From what I've read they already have 3 Kill Bill's over in Japan, and they are about to work on the 4th. The Anime of Kill Bill is supposed to occur inbetween Volumes 3 and 4. It's not a prequel to anything. As for Miramax, they are a subsidiary of Disney. Recently they've done the last 3 Poke'Mon movies, the Spy Kids series, Bionicle: Mask of Light, and a few others. They'd get the Kill Bill anime, and it defintley wouldn't go to the Anime network, but it would be a good fit with Adult Swim when they're going to air The Animatrix.

What do you mean they have 3 Kill Bills in Japan? Do you mean anime or what?

Maybe I mis-read the article. I bet I did. I tend to do that from time to time. I guess this is Tarantino's 4th movie, and he's going to make an Anime prequel to it. For a moment I thought they were saying he was doing his 4th Kill Bill movie. This is the link though:

What QT actually said... was that he wants to a sequel but not for 15 years or so featuring the little girl growing up and taking on The Bride (which we now have a name for, yay) and said he might shoot a few scenes now when they are the right ages.
Whether he was joking or not, can't be sure but that is what he said.
He has also said he wants animated prequel(s). Anyhow, we have nothing to go on right now other than he wants to do it. If you search for Kill Bill on this forum, you will eventually find a post by Jimmy about this topic. Scrolling down that topic, I linked to an article where Quentin talked a little about the animated prequels. As far as I know there hasn't been more development beyond what he said.

That's what he really said? I thought he was just talking about doing a movie about the girl in the relatively recent future; not using the same actor in 15 years.

Whether he was joking or not, can't be sure but that is what he said. The problem is that if he is not joking, then I am afraid the third movie will never be finished because in 15 years QT will probably have already been commited to an insane asylum.

I think that the prequel will happen. It's suppossed to be about Bill's past. I'm sure these years will be extremely bloody and sexual explicit considering one of his adoptiver fathers. I'm sure, Quentin Tarantino is thinking about a feature film. Possibly released in thetres, if not a direct to video.

Tarantino kept the Japanese Rights to Kill Bill vol. 1 specifically to release Kill Bill in its four hour whole probably later this year. Some people may see that as Kill Bill 3.
Also, the japanese cut carries a special dedication to a Japanese director who died last year and who's influence over hte movie is pretty clear.

Seriously, though, he has mentioned something about making a third movie; not just a release of the two together.
