This is a spoiler filed thread so highlight to read:
Maggie Sawyer will be taking Bullock's place at the GCPD. Bullock quit in last months DETECTIVE COMICS when it was revealed he was connected to Jordan Rich's murder. Maggie Sawyer will be making her jump to the GCPD in November. She was originallay apart of Metropolis Special Crimes Unit.
I think this is cool. I wanna see how she reacts to Batman...

No more Harvey Bullock? Hey, I like that character! So in the story, he was connected with a murder and quit? They just "retire" the guy? Boy, they're closing off a lot of options.

He quit before he could be indited (sP) So he could be spared the humiliation. He's peeved because he "let Gordan down".

I think that Harvey will probably be brought back to GCPD eventually. It stinks to see him go, though.
I'm not too surprised by the spoiler.

Maggie Sawyer. And all this time I thought it'd be Dan Turpin. Just the same, I think Maggie'll be an interesting addition, and I'm looking forward to it.

so much for having to highlight to spoil.

Ehh, I tried not to mention the spoiler in my post, but I don't think that you can complain too much if the thread's title has "Spoiler" included. It's nice to be able to talk about spoiler material without having to have to highlight everyone's post. I guess I don't understand why someone would read a post with "Spoilers" in the title if they don't want to read them.

Dude, the topic says "Spoilers" in the heading. If it says spoilers then there will be spoilers.
I was hoping Turpin would appear as well, but when you think about it, he's almost an exact copy of Bullock. Big, rude, and stubborn and MUST get his own way. Sawyer is a nice twist. I wonde rif she'll hit on Renee Montoya.

Still, I hope they will at least include him in future stories. I now have limited access to comics, but I do pick up Batman when I get the chance...Bullock is an important character, after all he was one of the best characters on the Animated Series. He really had some depth to him.

He was a great charatcer even in the early 80s when he first premiered. I stil lhave a really old issues, in the 300s, where him and Gordan debate over how submitable evidence from Batman is. It's neat to see how his character has changed from then (a greasey crooked cop) to now (a greasey straight cop). Rucka really gave him some great depth and characterization.

It will lead into some possibly interetsing and funny moments. I'm not sure if Rucka would play up that angle. But then again we've gotten to learn alot about Montoya's life thanx to Rucka. Maybe he'll be doing this for Maggie as well.
Also, Maggie announces her departure from the Metropolis S.C.U. in this week's issue of Superman: Man of Steel #119.
