I was pulling some stuff out of my storage room a couple of weeks ago, and found some old cassette tapes there, including one which I thought was lost that contains an odlie but a goodie -- a 1975 interview with Bob Clampett done by Gene Shalit on The Today Show to promote the release of "Bugs Bunny Superstar"
The interview runs about 5:10, including a clip from Bugs and Elmer's first meeting in "A Wild Hare." No new revelations here, though Bob does give Mel a little more credit in the interview than others did in coming up with Daffy Duck's lisp.
I'm going to try convert it to an mp3 on Sunday for posting, if anyone's interested in hearing it.

Yes, it's audio only.

Btw, this is supposed to just be an audio file right? Yes, just audio -- between the size and cost of a U-Matic video tape recorder and the videotapes in 1975, you wouldn't want to have one just lying around the house waiting for the occasional five-minute interview to show up. But for what it's worth, IIRC, Clampett was waering a jacket with the various WB character patches sewn on, and Gene Shalit was even hairier back then than he is now... ;)
