Hey,
Recently drew this, I was aiming for a pose, from like, a mid jumping position, but it doesn't really seem to pop, it doesn't look like a pose one would make in mid-leap.
Any of you got any suggestions?

I think the reason you think it doesn't pop is because it's very two-dimensional. Try to think of this jump as something happening in real life, in a 3D space. First of all, you should define a clear line of action, which will direct the movement of the character. Then: where is DD jumping? To his left? Then you shouldn't show him in a front view, he should be slightly turned to his left. His head is, but his body isn't, which makes him look stiff. Your anatomy is pretty good but it needs some work. Especially the proportions, which, in this drawing, are quite wrong. His left arm, for instance, looks twice as big as the right one.
If you want to improve on dynamic poses, I suggest you learn from the best. Ppl like Frank Miller, Scott McDaniel, Bruce Timm etc. Study the way they do their poses, the way muscles interact, the way the balance of the body moves, and you'll get much better very quickly.
This crit is meant to be very neutral and straightforward, so don't take this the wrong way, just trying to help here :)
