You know. Every Time I enter the F&G Forum,I think of it like Entering a Reform School. I think of it that way because the Rules seem somewhat Overly Strict. Also, when I went to the Entertainment Forum,I noticed The Penguin Closed the "What are You Listening to" Topic because he says "We don't need to know your Playlist". I found that very Rude of him. Seriously,Some of the Topic's Rules on the Board are EXTREMELEY Serious. Too Serious if you ask me. I'm afraid that one day my Naivete here will lead me to the Horrible Fate of being Banned. I'm not Posting this Message to be Malicious. I'm just trying to tell you how I feel about Certain Areas of this Board is all. I mean,The Fun & Games Forum here is so Strict that it does not even seem to be Fun. Such as "Waiting Till 5 Other Members Post in Order for you to Post Again". At the Message Board I like going to the EzGames are Free-For-All and you can Feel Free Post right after Somebody Responds. But I cannot change the Rules of this Board for I am just a Member here. What is your Oppinion? I'm kinda Scared to Post this because I'm afraid of the Replies I might get.

Once again, TO EVERYONE, Feedback goes in the feed back board. (There's a reason why we have an ENTIRE FORUM devoted to Feedback/ Discussing the operation of toonzone.)

Well, I basically know why F&G is so strict with all those rules and thats it.
On F&G people would use stuff like one word posts and then wait till someone else posted and posted again, so thats how the wait rule came.

I see your point, but what would happen with the Fun & Games board is that two users would post back and forth constantly, not allowing anyone else to have fun. This would boost their post count more than it should be (which is why there was the temporary rule that posts in the F&G thread don't count). As for the What Are you Listening To? thread, I can see how it would get out of hand. I know the idea is to say what NEW music you're listening to, but then you'd get posters who are just rattling off their playlist, as they haven't bought a CD in the last year (like myself, even though I didn't post in said thread). And don't worry about getting banned. Just use common sense and you'll be fine. :)

I know that Sometimes I lack in the Common Sense Department. I just feel so Different than other People here. I mean, every Time I go here it is like Entering another World with Different Rules. I seem to have Trouble Fitting into such a Stressful and Foreign Environment. I also get Stressed real easy in Real life as well.

I don't know about the other forum you visit and thus this may not be applicable, but compared to other forums on the internet, Toon Zone's are much larger and more highly visited. Due to this, more rules tend to be necessary to keep things in order. With a smaller forum it is easier for someone to step in and fix an issue. However, with a larger forum it is easier for things to get out of hand.

I found that very Rude of him.I said "...we don't need to know every third song on someone's playlist" because we don't. The thread was getting out of hand (you posted what song you were listening to 20 times) and after two in-thread warnings something additional had to be done. I was not being rude, all you and others had to do was listen to me. I said both times closing was the next step and when things didn't change I took it.

personally, i say just turn off the post counts in the F&G forum and let people post whatever the heck they want. that way, no post-count padding and people can actually have fun! i am boycotting the F&G board until that happens (or at least they turn the post counts back on if they intend to keep the strict rules forever).

Just play by the rules, or leave. These people (mods and founder) are nice enough to let us join and post for free. The least we could do is obey a couple of rules.

P.S. This is not butt-kissing. :anime: Although. . . I could if want. . . :D

No thanks.. :p

Seriously, you have to remember that this isn't any old forum.. it's a special one - we are fortunate to have close industry links which brings all sorts of people from our focus of fanship to us!

Therefore, if you imagine these people as guests, as you would if you had guests to your house, you keep things tidy, cordial and fun.

We are lucky to get a host of artists and writers from Marvel and DC, voice artists... creators.. they all come here, because they see it as a fun and friendly family enviroment.

Most people would keep it this way without rules, however there are some who need to a little guidence to keep things fun for everyone else.. so yeah, there are more rules here than most boards, but we aren't like other boards.. for those rules create a spam free and friendly enviroment. Furthermore it attracts people we would love to talk to from cartoons to us. No one wants to go to a post counting, spam orientated, freeforall. If industry peeps want to take their time to talk to the fans, they want to do so somewere non stressful. I hope we provide this. Good for us, good for them, good for you. Just plain, erm, good! :)

Eh, don't take us too seriously here, SEG. *SPAM*TZ isn't meant to stress people out, it's meant to be a nice place to "chill" as they say. A release from the Real World http://mail2world.com/images/Emoticons/banghead[1].gif (no, not the show :)). *SPAM*Loosen up a bit. http://mail2world.com/images/Emoticons/pinkie[1].gifNo need to be too formal around herehttp://mail2world.com/images/Emoticons/scared.gif. *SPAM* *SPAM*I mean, sure, there are rules, but they're not there to make you feel uncomfortable or anything. http://mail2world.com/images/Emoticons/icon14.gif
