It worries me that there is a person on that forum who is considering not purchasing the WWII set because he feels that the shorts should not have been made.

The picture from "The Nifty Nineties" looks like its a limited edition cel, not a screen capture from the DVD set.

Yeah, it does now that you mention it.

I'm in awe over how sparkly clean the Donald shorts look in particular. I'm going to be way excited about getting this stuff!

Man, it's times like this I wish Disney didn't release them only in the USA.

Isn't it hard to believe that wave 3 of the Disney Treasures will "FINALLY" be released next month?

I am soooo excited!!!! :D :D :D :D

Jon— I've done a little research and find that about 75% of these images are color-enhanced publicity stills from the films in question, as opposed to actual frame grabs.
In the case of Donald, you can see many of the same stills in Marcia Blitz's old Donald Duck history book from Harmony Press.

Why are the Disney wartime cartoons controversial? I know the Looney Tunes shorts have some racist images. Did Disney do that too?

Disney has their fair share of controversial material as well as any other cartoon studio. I'm not going any further on this because by discussing controversial material in certain cartoons, we at TTTP have caused some of our favorite cartoons to be edited. If you want any more detail, just send me a PM.

I'm doubting those menus are official... Those images of Mickey and Pluto look too grainy.....
