Who would love to see Cartoon Network follow sute and create a half hour program called "The Max Fleischer Show"?
It could be an excellent series, not only showing Betty Boop, and Popeye, but CN could also present other famous Fleischer series such as:THE INKWELL IMPS, SCREEN SONGS, TALKARTOONS, COLOR CLASSICS and many other of the Fleischer cartoons.

I picked "YES"...This would be for Cartoon Network's great interests, they need to start showing more(and I do mean "MORE") classic theatrical cartoon collection programs.

Well, I really can't see why anyone would even think of voting against this. Maybe if "I'm Popeye" does really well, something like this could come about.

Well, of course I voted yes, but Sveven would probably vote no. Look at all the arguments he started over how the Lantz and UPA cartoons SHOULDN'T be on CN...

I voted yes, of course. CN needs a lot more classic programming, IMO. They could proabably devote a show JUST to public domain stuff...
I wouldn't mind if CN dedicated a couple hours per night to classic cartoons. It'd make all the Scooby reruns less annoying. Have Looney Tunes, The Woody Woodpecker Show, Terrytoons, Totally Tooned In, The Max Fletcher Show, The Classic Popeye Show, Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones (the last two being redone), Toonheads, Pink Panther, and a Paramount show, etc.

Yes, I was thinking of that when I responded. But, well...Sveven's a "special" boy...His opinion should probably not be used in trying to estimate the opinion of sane cartoon fans.
CN would of course have to get rights to show this stuff first. I'm not sure if they'd want to do that, considering almost all of their programs are owned by then, with the exception of Bullwinkle. And soon, that'll be gone too...Lousy cheapskates. I wish they'd spring the cash for stuff like this, but I have a feeling that they would rather just make shows with their own material to eliminate fees for rights to shows like Bullwinkle, Pink Panther or non-PD Betty Boop.

As has been mentioned before, since Republic Pictures, owners of all the pre-1950 non-Popeye/Superman Paramount cartoons is part of the Viacom family along with Nickelodeon, Nick could air all of the Betty Boops, Screen Songs, Talkartoons and Color Classics without having to pay rights fees.
Unfortunately, since neither Max nor Dave though to create "Sponge Bob Squarepants," the chances of this actually happening are pretty remote, even if Nick does create a second cable channel...

I know I'm the antagonist, but if The Max Fleischer Show would be anything like the C. Jones Show I don't want to watch it, especially with its unoriginal opening cards an edits!!! :o

I think he meant something more along the lines of the Popeye show, completely restored, unedited cartoons.
