(OT) Why do girls throw 'like girls'? Fun with physiology...

Here's a fun test:

draw a line along your spine.

draw another connecting the points of your shoulder blades

place your index finger on the intersecion of the two lines.

If you even came close, you are female

If you failed miserably, you are male.

How Come?

Isn't there something similar to that where girls can bend over a certain way and lift a chair, but guys can't do it? I remember reading about that before.

A: The same reason that women carry books cradled, and men carry them straight-arm:

the elbow joints are slightly different - the male is optimised for thowing/clubbing; the female is optimised for cradleing.


for the bending test - a woman's center-of-gravity is below the waist, a man's is above.
