At the Diamond Comic website, DC has released more information on the much anticipated Batman: The 10 Cent Adventures. According to the website, The 10-Cent Adventure “follows a night in the life of Batman — a night that ends with a terrible finality. When Batman responds to a series of crimes, little does he know that a crime is occurring in the one place in the world he considers safe. The 10-Cent Adventure ends with an intense cliffhanger, springboarding into the Bruce Wayne: Murderer? storyline running through most of the Batman-related books this month and next [January and February].”

In an upcoming issue, Bruce Wayne does purchase a gun. Whether or not that is relevent to the storyline remains to be seem.

The issue will run 22 pages, and be in full color, and will retail for only 10 cents. The price is expected to be 20 cents in Canada. The 10-Cent Adventure is written by Greg Rucka, with art by Rick Burchett and Klaus Janson, with a cover by Dave Johnson.

The copy for the special issue continues with, “In addition to the cliffhanger ending, this one-shot is an enjoyable stand-alone story that acts as a definitive primer on Batman: his origin, his motivation, his methods, even his hours of operation! With the talent, the content and the price, this issue is a great one for new readers to sink their teeth into the Batman mythos. It's without a doubt the one issue of the year that no one can afford to miss — and at only 10 cents, they won't have to!”

The issue is due in shops on January 2nd, 2002. This issue wil be crucuial for the 2002 Batman storylines.
