Today's final Jeopardy category was "Famous Felines"....

...the answer was "He made his debut in 1945's 'Life With Feathers'"

The question was "Who is Sylvester?"

Two out of the three contestants had the correct question, Alex even mentioned that Tweety was in 3 cartoons before Sylvester debuted (Jeopardy staff had a copy of Beck & Friedwald??)

Was this the cartoon where Sylvester was really called Thomas?

Was this the cartoon where Sylvester was really called Thomas?I don't think his name was mentioned in "Life with Feathers". Could be wrong though.

I remember years ago in TV Guide there was an article about a game show (can't remember which one) in which a contestant gave the answer "Tweetie Pie", which wasn't acceptable; they would only accept "Tweety" as the correct answer.

No, that was Tweety Pie, which (I think) was the first cartoon to have Sylvester and Tweety paired up to be the Freleng version of Chuck Jones's Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons (or was RR/Wile E. Coyote Jones's version of Sylvester and Tweety?)
