JLA/Avengers HC is $75? Daayum. It has got so many bonus features you'd think they would actually hike the price up some more.


JLA #100 doesn't look very interesting to me. Its pretty much Kelly following up one of the stories from his Action Comics run for a new spinoff series. It doesn't look too much like a celebration; it just looks gimmicky.


It looks pretty good for the month of June, I'd say.

Thank god. I'm all over that, Harley, Catwoman and The Riddler too. I wasn't too impressed with what I've seen of Wave 1's, but if I don't get Batman, who is Nightwing going to stand next to?

Wonder if there's any chance of DCD doing Ra's, Bane and Mr. Freeze...

Sigh. Never in my entire life have I so desperately wished I had waited for trade (or, in this case, oversized slipcase hardcover). I have to own this hardcover; it's that simple. But it's high price would have been a lot more compelling if I hadn't already read the first three installments of JLA/Avengers. Oh well. I guess I'll hold off on reading number 4 so I at least have something to look forward to.

And to think, I just blew 75 bones on the oversized slipcase Crisis On Infinite Earths hardcover. Alas. At least the cover to this JLA/Avengers hardcover looks neat. And the first 21 pages of the original 80's crossover? Hell, that's practically worth asking price alone.

I'll definitely be picking up the first issue of Identity Crisis. I read the preview in Wizard #150 and... hated it. It's only five pages, hopefully the full issue will be a lot better. I'm interested to see just what this series is looking to accomplish. They're making a big deal out of this series, but I can't figure out if it's really another Crisis or what the intent is.

I'm a little pissed off about JLA #100, for several different reasons. For one thing, it's written by Joe Kelly, in and of itself a red flag (I can't help but think that Morrison, Waid, or Johns should have gotten this issue). Other than that, it's being used to kick off Kelly's own pet project (the Elite), instead of giving us a proper anniversary issue. I was looking forward to something along the lines of Amazing Spider-Man #500, but I have a feeling that's not what I'm going to get. Bummer.
