What special ability would you like to have?

If you could have any special ability, what would it be? Here are some that I think I could put to good use:

Teleportation: I'd use this when I know I'm about to be late for work, a class, or some kind of an appointment. I'd even use this when the weather is extreme and I don't feel like enduring it, or if I somehow lock myself out of my house or my car.

Phasing: If someone is trying to throw a punch at me, or if a bullet is heading my way, it would just go right through me and I'd be safe.

Multiplicity: If I have to be somewhere and I don't want to go, I could just duplicate myself and have my fake counterpart go to that place so I don't have to. I could even use this when I want to share something with some people and there's not enough of it to go around for all of them.

Mind reading: It never hurts to know for sure whether someone's telling you the truth or lying their ass off.

Invisibility: I could pass through any place undetected. That, or if someone stole something from another person, I could get it back without being noticed.

Scanning/tracking: Let's say I'm in some shopping mall with a group and I get separated from them. Instead of looking all around the place, I could just stay one place and scan around for their body energies and I could easily follow them and locate them that way.

Super strength: Enough said.

Healing: I could get rid of colds quicker, and also heal others whenever they need it.

Telekenesis: It's probably not something I'd use often, but if there's something I have to get and I don't want to get up, I could just have it come to me.

To see through clothing! :evil: :p Uh... but only the attractive people. :sweat: Actually, my number one would be teleporting. I can't tell you how many times I've thought to myself, "Why haven't scientists created teleporters yet?!"

EDIT: In reference to the mind reading thing, I don't think I'd WANT to know what someone is thinking of me or something. Ignorance is bliss.

This is probably the most oft-asked question there is, yet it still intrigues everytime I think about it.

Just for fun and pleasure, I'd choose the powers of transformation and flight. The greatest thrills of the Imagination are experiencing the inexperiencable, and there's something neat about being something you're not or being somewhere you can't. And I hate walking.

The most practical power I can think up is still Creation - to form whatever I want out of nothing with but a thought. Tho, I'm getting vibes of irony that this divine power could also be the most materialistic. Other than that, super speed or the ability to slow time, plus super strength would be helpful in nearly any endeavor, whether they be a mental (all the time in the world to study and/or think up witty retorts) or physical.

If I had to do battle with so supervillain or so, I'd also add in some kind of super destructive blast of some form - laser eyes, DBZ-like energy balls, something of that sort. Not cause its practical, but just cause property damage is fun :p

If all I cared about was winning, without the flare, fun, or fame, I'd go for mind control and immortality.

Elasticity: Monkey D. Luffy is a personal hero of mine

Regeneration: and not just healing, I'm talking about being able to re-grow/re-attach limbs here

super speed/time manipulation: why bend space when you can bend time?

adhesivity: being able to climb walls ninja-style is equally cool

shapeshifting: I'm talking like Odo on ST: DS9

the ability to dissassemble/reassemble/repair anything mechanical/digital/electronic with my bare hands

and telepathy, just to mess with people's heads

If I couldn't have the power of flight, I'd choose teleporation. That way, I'd be able to sleep in longer, and would just have to teleport a couple of minutes before I was due to be at work. :D

Super Jumping Ability. Think Mario. Or some crazy anime character. I could go for flying, I guess, but for some reason this just appeals to me more. I think it'd feel more worthwhile when exploring than just being able to fly up. Leaping up the sides of buildings, jumping rooftop to rooftop at night, seeing what new places I can find, or what views I can see - I think it'd be more fun, actually. I'd probably need some agility to go with it too, just so I don't kill myself, heh.

Energy Manipulation - The ability to summon energy (a'la DBZ) and emit it through the hands. Can be used to form other attacks.

Super Agility - I like to be quick and nimble.

Invincibility - The kind of invincibility that makes me immune to all the REALLY bad diseases of the world as well as the kind that would withstand a nuclear blast and not get radiated or take a tank shell in the face.

Flying - I like flying.

Invisibility - So I can sneak around.

Teleporting - Teleport anywhere in the world...

I thought of something similar. I'd also like to have the ability to turn out some noises so I can only hear sounds that I want to hear. It would definitely come in handy if I'm in a movie theater and there's someone with a crying baby who's too stupid and/or too inconsiderate to just take it out of the theater.

Personal Pocket Dimension: Basically my own little cozy extra-dimensional nook. This pocket dimension would have a breathable and comfortable atmosphere, it would take the form(and be the size) of a small mansion, for one second in the real world a year would pass in the pocket dimension, and I would be immortal, unaging, and invincible while there (still able to heal, learn, etc. but would only be as hunger/well feed as I was when I arrived on that occasion). I could instantly enter and exit from anywhere and anytime I so desire (and I would transport my self there as a reflex if my life was seriously in danger and I was unconscious). It would be nicely furnished, have a library that would give me access to every book and piece of multimedia ever made, and also include a remote viewing screen to set any special destinations to depart from my pocket dimension).
I could catch-up on soo much sleep, work, and goofing-off from there. :D

Perpetual peak physical condition without the necessity of exercise.

A significantly better memory than I have now.

Power Nullification: I could temporarily nullify powers and special abilities of other by willing it (provided there in the vicinity of me).

I think teleporting would be pretty neat. You'd never have to be late for anything that way, and it'd be a cool way to see the whole world (and even other bodies in the solar system, so long as you're well-protected, of course ;) ).

Mind-control would be kind of interesting, too. You could make people do whatever you want them to do, good or bad (though I'd probably lean towards good).

I'd either want to be able to replicate other people, in other words, touch them and become a near clone of them with my own memories.
