TOM TURK AND DAFFY (1944): After Daffy disappears after rolling into a snowball, Porky blinks his eyes in confusion, and if you look to the right of him, for a very quick frame, you can see another drawing of Porky’s eyes to the right of his body! What the…?

ELMER’S CANDID CAMERA(1940): The apples that fall on Elmer changes colors back and forth.

THE HICK CHICK (1946): The word “Shoulders” written on the bull’s raw skin disappears for a few seconds.

SWOONER CROONER (1944): When one of the hens faint to the ground, her ribbon which lies next to her, disappears after a few seconds.

Thank you, I now know I'm not crazy, I notice that every time I watch it. It was one of those WWII cartoons most likely rushed along, Jones most likely didn't even totally direct it.

I see mistakes all the time in cartoons, miscolored cels, missing or added body parts, jumpy backgrounds, ect. Someone should make up a website/database of LT amd MM mistakes.

In "Assault & Peppered", Daffy's hat keep changing colors as he checks his list regarding the landmines he has planted around Speedy's fort. The red & green colors alternate. There is also a coloring mistake in "Hip Hip Hurry" as the coyote's boat changes colors as he avoids going over the falls. Check them out!!

In "Gone Batty" the pitcher's shirt fills in the space between his arm and shirt in cycles.

In "Circus Today" the "old man" dissappears right before the fade to the next scene ends.

NEW REDRAWN BLOOPER:
In the 1973 redrawn version of One More Time (retitled as On Duty), a hippo's car is drawn with a mouse sticking out of a door...that flashes at the wrong point over and over again!

Also, there's an audio mistake in the reissued version of "The Crackpot Quail." As you may know, the razz noise was dubbed in with a cute whistle...well, the dog tries to make the razz noise (dubbed as a whistle still) and his tongue is stuck out of his mouth...while he's whistling (his saliva is being sprayed out too).

Another audio mistake: In Puss Gets The Boot, the reissued "different voice Mammy" version has a noticeable flaw: All the sound, but the voice have less fidelity than the overdubbed new voice which sounds brand new.

OK, how about this one from HB? Next time you see a CN "Flintstones" episode with the restored Seasons 1&2 opening and closing, watch the end sequence carefully as Fred's getting ready for bed, and wonder: What happened to Wilma's mouth?!??

After the tunnel of love scene, Elmer gets mad and Bugs says, "Temper, temper." Watch closely. Bugs dissapears for about a frame. It's more noticible if you have the undubbed version.

I merged Brandon's "Easter Yeggs" post into this thread.

Guys, please don't start new threads if what you want to say fits perfectly into an exisiting one.

RUN, RUN SWEET ROADRUNNER (1965): A change in the Coyote’s expression when the braincloud forms over his head. Also, when Coyote is painting a face on the female Road Runner decoy, the eyes turn white by themselves without the Coyote even painting them. Also, during the raindance scene, the Coyote is standing still in one part, yet you can still hear the bells on his feet continuing to jingle.

PORKY THE FIREMAN (1938): One of the Flying Leroys’ shorts aren’t colored black like the others.

In Porky Pig's Feat, at the end, Daffy's hand turns white...even both colorized versions keep this mistake intact.

Porky's Building has this mistake:

Porky's estimate: (example) $3,000.000
Irate's estimate: (example) $3,000,000

In one episode of the cheesy show, Kidd Video, there's a TON of drafting mistakes:

1. Some kids are locked in a room and can't get out...the door is locked...an overhead view shows NO door at the entrance!

2. Whiz's shirt changes from red to orange over and over again.

3. Master Blaster's joystick control changes from a joystick, a button, a trackball, another joystick, and a lever within one scene

4. They ride down a track and go through a giant trombone...which they were supposed to go UNDER instead of *through*

5. A shot of the track "moving" shows that lines on the track were moving, not the track.

6. In a live-action prologue, the kids "sing" along with music. They're not singing in synch with the music.

I know it's not a classic cartoon, but this cartoon would make Wholly Smoke's redrawn version look like high quality stuff!

Golden-Age Era cartoons (i.e., anything made ffor theatrical release before, say, 1960 or so) have a fairly limited amount of errors. But TV......

*shudder*

DiC's animation checkers alone have contributed to the "error factor" more than any other group of workers at one studio. And, just think, Disney bought that trash heap of a studio......

(They sold it, too ;) )

"Hare Ribbin'"-When Bugs tells the dog, "I'm huntin' for a wabbit," the dog is all orange!

"Polka Dot Puss"-When Tom runs into the room (where he gets the sword), he dissappears for a complete frame.

"Mississippi Hare"-When Bugs leads Shuffle (in blackface) off the boat (to "Campdown Races") Shuffle is regular again, right before he goes overboard.

"Shot and Bothered": a rock falls on Wile E. Coyote, but it seems to fall in FRONT of him...his head can be seen through the rock, just frozen in place!

"Duck Amuck": every version I have ever seen of this one has one mistake toward the end. The soundtrack was obviously edited or redubbed somehow to get the right voice, but it overlaps, so when Daffy says "Who is responsible for this?!" it sounds more like "Who is responsible for this_-this?!?"

HARE TRIMMED - Right before Bugs puts the lipstick on, he puckers his lips and they turn red for a quick frame when he hasn't even put on the lipstick yet, then they turn white again!

HARE DO - 1) When Elmer is strangling Bugs, the people in the audience are gone. 2) There’s no doorknob on the ladies room door, but there is one on the door to the men’s room.

MUTINY ON THE BUNNY - Not really an animation mistake, but all the times when Bugs tricked Sam into sinking the ship, Bugs was on board the whole time, yet it only emphasizes on Sam sinking. Plus, why would Bugs want to sink himself, along with Sam?

THE OILY HARE - After the oil gusher explodes, carrots burst out of the geyser and the two Western hayseeds on top of it, but when they show that scene in the long shot, they’re on top of carrot juice, instead of just carrots.

HARE LIFT - When we see Bugs in the cockpit of the plane after it has taken off, the window is a lot lower than it was in the previous scene where Bugs was fidgeting with the controls.

ROBOT RABBIT - When Elmer says on the phone, “Well, send one right over,” he closes his mouth before the line is done.

ROMAN LEGION-HARE - When Sam steps outside of the room, he’s standing on solid ground, but in the next scene, he’s on a rug.

HARE-LESS WOLF - After getting shot, the wolf’s face turns dark brown, but for a quick frame, it changes back to it’s regular color.

PRE-HYSTERICAL HARE - When Bugs says, “I just hope I’ll still be in one piece, so I’ll appreciate it,” his lips don’t move.

SHISKABUGS -After Sam says, “No!” to Bugs when he asks for diced carrots, Sam slams the door on him, but when he runs back out to get him, the door is already open.

There is a slight error in FALSE HARE (1964) as well. Actually, now that I think about it, there are two.

Both occur during the scene where the wolf gets shot out of a cannon twice thanks to Bugs' trickery. The cannon itself never moved from its place, only the board in front of it did (due to Bugs tipping it over). In spite of that, the wolf makes two different holes in the wall despite being shot from the exact same place both times!

The second mistake comes directly after that. There is somewhat poor synchronization when Bugs says, "I don't see why everyone says these club initiations are so dangerous. Nothing has happened to me yet". His lips are closed when he first says the line, then they start moving, then after the line is finished, his lips are still moving for the next second or so before closing again!

When Elmer says, "Awww... rest and relaxation at lasts!" Elmers lips are completly out of sync.

In various P.P. episodes, sometimes his nose is black, when it should be red. I know G.I. Pink is one of them.

DOUGH RAY ME-OW - Throughout the cartoon, the area over Healthcliff’s eyes alternates from black to peach. I’m guessing one of the animators drew him one way, and the other animator drew him the other way.

Patrick McCart

I noticed a NEW mistake in the redrawn Jeepers Creepers:

Look at the ghost's eyes...they're not drawn, but actually holes in the cel.

I thought I was going crazy when I saw them alternate between blue, grey, red, yellow, and black.

Basically, the animator(s) drew the ghost with no ink or paint for the eyes.

It's a shame none of the redrawns made it to public domain DVD...they would be instant boredom eliminators with the pause and zoom functions of a player! (The new game of "Spot The Redrawn Mistake" 1 point for finding a red iris, 2 points for pink gophers, 3 points for missing animation, 4 points for misspellings.)

In LITTLE RED RIDING RABBIT, Bugs kinda disappears for a while in the wolf's nightgown, just before branding him with the hot ember from the fireplace.

THE HARDSHIP OF MILES STANDISH - When the lady rushes back into the cabin through the back door as the Indians are attacking, the back door opens from the right, but when the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the cabin, the lady opens the door from the left, and the bow and arrows seen previously on the door are suddenly gone.

NOW HARE THIS – When Big Bad is telling his nephew, “You’re the baby bear and I’m the mama bear,” the black strap on his hat keeps turning blue.

At the end of Hare Ribbin (released version) watch when the dog shoots himself. Right when the trigger is pulled the gun DISSAPEARS! And, without a trace. Maybe it was a discentagrating pistol.

Watch carefully as Hassan says "Hassan like! Hasan li-iii-ii-ike!" His upper teeth disappear for a second, then reappear. Come to think of it, they seem to be colored the same flesh shade as his face. Pehaps he should spend a few pieces of the sultan's gold on a toothbrush and toothpaste.... :D (this smiley brushes with Denti-Clean, which he buys at wwww.melaleuca.com)

READY, SET, ZOOM! - When the Coyote is twirling the lasso w/dynamite sticks around it, he scratches his head and his eyebrown turns dark brown several times.

AN ITCH IN TIME - When the cat is scratching the dog’s back, the dog’s body disappears for a quick frame! :p

DAFFY’S INN TROUBLE - When Porky is saying to Daffy, “Here’s your own private office,” his left white cuff keeps turning black.

STOP LOOK AND HASTEN

Wile E. Coyote starts chasing the Roadrunner for the first time. The roadrunner goes "Beep-Beep!" and zooms away. But when he goes "Beep-Beep!" we don't see his beak moving at all.

BARBARY COAST BUNNY

When Nasty Canasta hammers Bugs' expected winning number, we see a close up of a perplexed Bugs. In that shot, one side of his whiskers disappear at a moment.

Heres a special note:

In this INSPECTOR GADGET cartoon. This episode begins wherein Gadget, Brain and Penny are flying a kite. Suddenly, the kite gets caught in the tree. When Gadget climbs the tree to get the kite, he says, "Don't worry, Penny, I got it." While he says it, his mouth doesn't move at all!

The Heckling Hare: When Bugs stands over the cliff watching Willobuy plunge to his doom (oh, great. now I have "The Doom Song" stuck in my head!), the animator forgot to draw in Bugs's toes! Bugs has feet, but no toes! I just noticed it this afternoon!
