How was it determined that the Duck in Lucky Ducky is in fact homosexual and for that reason should be banned??? It's truly a shame that many people will not see this hillarious cartoon because of some paranoid fabrication.

I am talking about Lucky Ducky being banned for a Homosexual Duck. That is a fact.
How the Duck was seen as homosexual is the question.
Could it be any more obvious?

"Lucky Ducky" is not a banned cartoon and the duck was not portrayed as being a gay duck, so I don't know where you got this info.

Must be some "gay"(not straight) information. Lucky Ducky just aired the other day on Boomerang. Possibly, once again someone not doing their own research here. DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ or HEAR!

Perhaps Jaadst meant the cartoon was banned in another country, not the USA. Maybe authorities in that country thought the duck was gay because of the striptease he does with his eggshell. They wouldn't realize that in America such gender bending in comedy is done as an irreverent insult to one's enemy.

Dobry Den, Jaadst! So this cartoon is banned in Mother Russia? Which other cartoons are banned in your country?

Jaadst didn't get this one out of nowhere, people (Nelson, why so cross?).
Jaadst is referring to the recent Tex Avery DVD set issued by WB Home Video in France. The set is infamous for having had WB Legal in Burbank censor it extensively (against the wishes of the French project managers), deleting two cartoons entirely and censoring a handful more.
LUCKY DUCKY did appear on the set, but it was apparently a close shave because... yes, WB Legal decided that the duck was a gay caricature, apparently after a complaint from some protest group (!), and at first asked that that cartoon be deleted too.
I'm not actually sure how it made it onto the set after the flap, when other cartoons did not.
This isn't secret information: a major French DVD journal explains it all right here (http://www.dvdfr.com/news/news.php?id=2597), and Jerry Beck posted links to the article a few weeks ago.
How quickly we forget, eh, Doc?
