If you haven't heard the obnoxious-but-catchy song by The Darkness, "Thing Called Love", you must have been living in a box. If you haven't, now's your chance. Upon hearing my neighbor next door blast it through the wall for a few months, it dawned on me that there just might be a Looney Tune music video in there somewhere. So here it is....Pepe Lew Pew in "I Believe In A Thing Called Love"!

Superb. Good Brit band who are masssive here in the UK.
Does anyone remember the Disney video releases at the end of the eighties that mixed music with Disney clips. When I lived in NY I managed to 'rescue' a couple from a video shop that was closing down. One was a mix of Motown classics and the other early Rock 'n Roll love songs and the third a general pop music. Titles were Pop & Rock, and Rock Rhythm & Blues, Golden Oldies and Pop & Rock. Maybe there were more, I would like to see a copy or get hold of more myself. Matthew, maybe the powers that be will see your production and commission you to produce more for release. Mr Beck are you watching !

The Darkness, and their song ("A Thing Called Love"), are played a lot on the station I listen to at work - they are very popular at the moment. I like the song, but am not crazy about the lead singer's high voice.

Most of the fan-made videos I've seen have been to anime clips, so this was a nice change of pace. I watched Looney Tunes a lot when I was around 10, and I definitely remember the antics of Pepe Le Pew! I think that I may have seen the episode where he sets up the dinner for two (the clips used around the end of the video).

Good job on the video! :)

Yes, I remember these airing, but I don't remember any details about specific videos. I think they played them between cartoons on the Disney Afternoon line-up a few years ago.

I seem to recall seeing some of these on the Disney Channel in the early-to-mid 90s between programs. I think they billed it under DTV (an obvious riff on MTV). The only one I actually remember was "King of the Road". To be honest, I'm surprised Warner didn't pick up on this.

-MatthewWell, Matt, ya beat me to it. I wanted to do a Pepe "music video", but I wasn't going to use "Thing Called Love" (I was going to use some famous make-out songs of the past). However, my digital video creator (the device that transfers video footage from TVs, VCRs, and camcorders to computers) is in back order and won't come to my house until after my birthday. But, that doesn't mean I can still make one. If yours is good, then I'll make mine better.

:D

Note: For some reason, I can only play the audio of you music video and not the both the audio and the video:( . Shame though, because I've been waiting for someone around here to do what you've done, even if that someone was me.

EDIT: Well, I finally got the video to play both video and audio (did you change it, Matt?). It's pretty good, but like I said, I was going to make a better one (once my digital video creator comes).

NOTE: After a somewhat long wait (and a computer upgrade), I finally have my digital video creator up and working. As soon as I upload some cartoons and come up with a music video idea, I'll post something up here. And I did say I was going to make a Pepe music video like yours, only it's gonna have more clips from Pepe cartoons and it may include some "love scenes" from cartoons and live-action, but it'll still have Pepe as the focus nonetheless.

Yo Matt? What's with the insult about living in a box? Not everyone listens to that crap. The fact that you subject yourself to that music definately says something about your character. I think the common cold is catchier than that song.

Don't get defensive, I'm just mad cause' I couldn't play the movie. :D

That's the one...DTV and King of the Road is on one of the tapes. Sounds like I may have some rare Disney tapes sitting on my shelf.

Matthew~

Wellllll regrettably I couldn't get your video to play (like B mode). So guess I'll never know for sure what it was like . Mel Blanc recorded a very rare 78 single (under a pseudonym) with both sides of the record being love songs... but done essentially in the Pepe voice! I'd honestly love to see those animated (give Pepe a couple of musical sequences to woo his "petite femme skunk") in some future Warner feature (or TV special).
