I am simply flabbergasted, which mod must be tossed into the fiery pit for it being 3:28 am and there's no talkback for this episode?!?

The Sopranos are back for the long awaited fifth season. Last time we checked in on our favorite mob family, Tony and Carmela got seperated, Adrianna has become a rat for the feds, Paulie and Christopher have tension mounting, and treachery is afoot as Johnny Sacks wants to take out a hit on his boss Carmine.

The season starts off with a bang. Tony's dipped, and leaving A.J. as the man of the house.

.....what a bad idea that was.

"Mommy!!! Mommmy!!!!!!"

Those were the words screamed out in the *****iest little voice I ever heard by the son of the head of the mafia. "Mommy, help me, mommy."

The kid's like 18!!

Chris and Paulie finally work things out.......right after they hit a guy in the face with a brick and shoot him because he complained about not getting a big enough tip. See, Italian Mafia killings serve a purpose. Sure, the guy's family is now missing a father, but at least Paul an Chris had that heartfelt moment, 'ya know?

Tony going nuts over Dr. Melfi was starting to get on my nerves until I figured out what it signified at the end of the episode.

His wife dumped him, his therapist said "**** off.", his Russian girls are all caniving little tramps, his daughter only comes around when she needs something, and his son wets his pants and cries for his mommy at the sight of a bear.

Did you all see that very last shot? Tony walks in, grabs the automatic, sits down and lights up a cigar. That final shot was simply a beautiful way of saying:

"I'm back....."

You most certainly are, my fellow paisan. You most certainly are.

Damn, it feels good to have this show back.

"and there's no talkback for this episode?!?"

I would've posted the talkback, but I was afraind that no one would respond (like some of my other talkbacks in the Entertainment Board.)

As for the episode, I'll watch it Tuesday, and post my thoughts after that.

Fair enough, I'll delay the revolution.

This ep was gold. the stuff between Chrsi and Paulie was awesome, espically when they were talking about the time they were lost in the woods with the Russian. Im so glad Steve Buscemi is in this show, since he has directed a few episodes before (I think). With Carmine having a stroke its going to leave a lot of reprucusions as to how leadership is going to shift.

Oh and the part with the waiter was classic!

"Mommy! Mommy!" Baahhaha

Not having much money to juggle with, I order HBO every season ONLY for The Sopranos. Once it's over with, HBO gets cancelled.

Once again, David Chase and the entire cast prove once again that there is nothing on network TV, cable coming close that has the quality and the time to make their shows great. I'll list FX Network's The Shield as an example of good cable programming. BTW, season 3 premieres this Tuesday the 9th at 10:00 pm.

I don't mind the long waits between seasons as long as the finished product is absolutely great. And once again, the fifth season opener was just that.

So glad Steve Buschemi is here. We know he doesn't get whacked this season because he signed on for this season, and next year's final season.

Hey, it's not HBO. It's just regular-ass T.V. Chappelle said it best, however, when it comes to the Sopranos, I don't even know what to describe it as. Whatever you must do, find a way to see this show.

And as for Steve Buscemi he directed the episode Paulie and Chris were talking about when they're stuck in the forest lookin for the Russian. It was called "Pine Barrens" and is one of the funniest Sopranos episodes there is.

Another great Sopranos.

The scene with A.J. and the bear wasn't as lame as I thought.

A.J. playing the drums was pretty cool.

Looks like there's still alittle bit of dissension between Christopher and Paulie.

Lots of LOL moments in this episode.

Once again James Gandofini ruled as Tony. His performance continues to impress me each week.

overall, another great Sopranos.
