All,

At the Home Theater Forum chat, Warners has said that SubZero, ROTJ - Original Cut, The Batman/Superman Movie and Batman: TAS are all part of their DVD plans for next year.

Can I get an OH YEAH?

Well, it would be great if this were true, but with the WB's track record, I'll believe it when I see it.

I am thinking positively. Usually if nothing is coming out they say "No" or "We'll look into it". Them giving an approximate time is pretty good news.

I just put up a news story about the DVDs and the chat. I am looking "positive" about this!

It isn't the umpeenth time. Previous times were base don rumors or inaccurate inside sources. This comes from a WB Home Video Executvie! A person WORKING on these DVDs. This is gonna happen...

BTW - Welcome to the board! I think you have a real awesome, and clever, handle!

Don't worry about it. I get defenseive sometime. I read through the chat transcipt and I just got really excited. I can't wait to see WORLD'S FINEST and SUB-ZERO in their digital format. What has me wetting my lips the most is HEART OF ICE possible on DVD...

So....did they talk about any extras on these DVDs?

James Harvey

They didn't list anything, which doesn't suprise me. Then again nobody really asked. I can assume what we'll get for extras will be:

INERACTIVE MENUS! (which aren't extras)
CHAPTER SELECTIONS (also not an extra)
TRAILER(S)
PRODUCITON NOTES

and that's it. That's what the usual SCOOBY-DOO DVD gets and those sell good. I can't any more extras.

Their extras were ok for the ROTJ DVD, so I hope they do more than the obligatory ones every DVD in existence has.

Yeah. You can't really expect for there to be alot of extras on a DVD like Batman/Superman. But for Batman: The Animated Series I would like to see the small documentaries that were made, as well as behind the scene stuff, designs, posters, etc...

LOL! I think I'll be keeping my VHS copy anyways. I got an official screener and it is the center peice of the BB DVDs/VHSs I own. It will be nice to have a DVD to go along with it...

You really can't do much with a screener once you have it, anyway. It is illegal to sell, so if you sell it you are in violation of the law. You could give it away for free, I guess, if you really didn't want it.

True, all I can do is keep it. I may lend it to some people but I will want that. It's a prized part of my collection...
