I've had this idea in my head for a while, so I thought it would be cool to make a fun thread about it. Every year there is a new season of Power Rangers. New rangers, new zords, new villains. Now imagine, if you had the ability to put together one season of PR yourself practically from scratch, what would it be like? (ignoring the fact that you'd need imported sentai footage) Here's what I came up with for my idea:
Power Rangers Tidal Blast
Five teenagers from the seaboard town of Breaker City discover a mysterious gem on the beach which transports them all to the underwater ruins of Atlantis. There, they encounter the recorded image of a wizard named Otus who tells them the story of how a witch named Nereida destroyed Atlantis before a group of young warriors sealed her in a magic treasure chest, hopefully never to be seen again. The chest, though, has gone missing from the temple where it was held and at the same time as the kids are talking to the wizard, Nereida is freed. Feeling the need to do something, the kids take the morphers of the ancient warriors of Atlantis and become the Tidal Blast Power Rangers:
Vinnie- the Red Ranger with the power of the Shark.
Jack- the Black Ranger with the power of the Whale.
Matthew- the Blue Ranger with the power of the Manta Ray.
Tara- the Yellow Ranger with the power of the Seahorse.
Alexis- the Pink Ranger with the power of the Starfish.
Later on, Otus's granddaughter Zoe, who was sealed away in a magic gem for protection from Nereida is released and joins the group as the Green Ranger with the power of the Sea Turtle.
Sorry if it seems like a little much, but the constant flow of new versions of this show sends my imagination going. So let's see if you guys have any ideas. Send your imagination spinning, folks!
