Last night on SNL, during the "TV Funhouse" segment, which was about the FCC, they spoofed some classic cartoons. The funny thing was that they blurred the characters' private parts. The classic characters that were "censored" were Bugs Bunny (showing a clip of "Rabbit Seasoning" with his parts blurred) Donald Duck, and Tweety.

The ending, had the FCC guy being redrawn (ala "Duck Amuck") naked. Turns out Howard Stern was the guy who drew him (ala Bugs Bunny)

I thought it was funny.

As much as I love (or I should say "loved") SNL, I never really cared for those "TV Funhouse" segments - it's basically the Mike Judge product in crappy webtoon form.

Sedelmaier.

One of the few SNL TVFs I found amusing is the one where B&B make a comeback appearance as Colin Powell's hallucination. :D Nice to know that Mike can still do the voices.

There have been lots of classic TV Funhouses.

One that I like a lot was last year's "EX Presidents" when they referenced "Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips" Jeff Bergman was the voice of Bugs Bunny.

"TV Funhouse" suffers in quality from time to time because
they need to be produced quickly in order to stay relevant.
The satire in those segments is often stronger than
anything else during the course of the show...
and they're often pretty ambitious!
You never know what Robert Smigel's going to try and do,
especially during the holidays.

This one was one of my favorites:

Another funny thing is that not only did they blur out Tweety's crotch area, they also blurred out his "breasts". I think they were making fun of all the people who think Tweety is a girl.

Also, was the clip of RABBIT SEASONING from the real cartoon or was it reanimated? All the other classic cartoon clips in that one were reanimated, but the SEASONING one looked real.

Real. The Tweety clip looked real, too.

Last night's TV Funhouse instead of having the traditional LT ending with Porky on drums, they showed Mel Gibson going crazy from one of those Lethal Weapon movies (Funhouse was about the Passion of HumptyDumpty.)
