After the bombing of LT: BIA, it proves the LT's need a new bad ass image to get teens and adults into the aduience. They should star in a PG-13 rated film. I don't want to change their personailites, just if they don't change their format, they're going to be doomed!

I consider the success of the old material to be more telling of people's opinions of the characters than a new film. I myself am not a fan of Bugs and co because of what was done with the characters in my lifetime, and I don't really know anyone who is (unless they were born in the 30's or 40's). The old cartoons are and always will be the key to the characters' success.
I'd rather they be doomed than have the format changed. Why should Looney Tunes be changed to appeal to people who don't like Looney Tunes?

NO don't do that. I still haven't forgot that they made Daffy say "screwed" in Space Jam. The Looney Tunes are one of the longest running groups who haven't sold out. They won't hit the bottom. The world is on such a huge nostalgia trip and only and handful of the Warner Broas stuff has been touched. There's plenty of gas left in that tank.

They don't need any NEW "bad ass image", they just need to have their original appeal reinforced. They've been watered down and simplified for merchandising, with only a handful of specific cartoons referred to. People are more familiar with the overused clipart images and the edited cartoons on TV than with the true original cartoons. I think the media coverage of CN's butchery and censorship followed by the advertisement of the Golden Collection as "restored and uncut" sparked more interest. People probably thought "OH, you mean there's MORE to it than CN?!"
Another problem is, the marketing and simplification was probably designed to symbolize rather than be the do-all-end-all, 10 years ago the cartoons were much more accessible. I don't mind new cartoons either, if Warner Bros. would quit shooting itself in the foot by cancelling and shelving their own projects.

I don't want the LTs to be changed for this day and age; I just want people to know about the old cartoons and know that there are a lot of WB cartoons that aren't shown today because they're un-PC or obscure.

Yeah, and if the Looney Tunes MUST be marketed as bad asses, just run some Daffy vs Hitler cartoons. You can't get any badder than that! :D

Personally, I think the Looney Tunes are already bad ass enough that the general public can't handle them without cutting the cartoons all up.

Yeah, that's what I meant only I was being sarcastic. Plus, we all know "Daffy the Commando" wouldn't be the only one in that repertoire.
