Concerned with whether or not your favorite WB charatcers will hit DVDs? Will Batman finally hit the digital age? Batman fans have been wanting to know the DVD fate for Batman, and on October 16th they may get their answers.Home Theater Forum has rescheduled their post-ponsed WB DVD chat to October 16th(which is TONIGHT!), and WB Animation and Batman DVDs will likely be bug part of the discussion

As we previously reported, Studio Day was held at Dave's Video in California this past week where industry bigwigs and DVD fans would get to meet and talk about upcoming releases. Naturally, Batman: Special Edition and Batman: Animated, as well as WB Animation, were very popular subjects at the meet.
The outcome wasn't good at all. Pretty dissapointing to say the least.
DVD File covered the event and put up indepth information of the event available at their website. The full version of the WB portion of the meet is available here. Here is the news that will interest Batman and WB Animation fans:
"Tim Burton fans may have a long wait for those hoped-for Batman, Beetlejuice and Mars Attacks special editions. While "under discussion" as always, pending Burton's involvement, these are not even in production."
"[WB] is working on a Looney Toons collection for release sometime in the future, though due to the amount of work required it may not arrive in 2002. Other series that are not planned at this time for DVD release but as always are "under consideration" as always include Animaniacs, Tiny Toons and Batman: The Animated Series."
Home Theater Forum's chat will likely address some of these topics. Executives from the home video department will be present at the chat. The WB Home Video Chat will be held TONIGHT at the following time:
9pm EST, 8pm CST, 7pm MST, 6pm PST and 2am GMT
We urge all fans to try and attend this chat. Stay tuned for anymore Batman or WB Animation developments on the DVD front.
