Is TheWB branching out and looking for more DC shows? With the announcement of a Birds of Prey pilot being shot, it's very possible. According to today’s Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers Television and Tollin/Robbins Productions are developing a pilot for Birds of Prey, the comic series starring Batman’s Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary, and a rotating lineup of other DC female characters.

Laeta Kalogridis (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) is attached to write the script. Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola will be executive producer. The series is centered around three female crimefighters, but did not specify which characters will be in the show. In the comic, the team consist of Batman supporting character Oracle and Black Canary. It is unsure if these characters will be used.

This isn't the first time a Batman live action pilot was planned. Under a year ago, a Bruce Wayne pilot was scripted but never shot.
