Considering CN is running a Scooby Doo Marathon on Oct. 31 and it lasts 24 hours!!! How many people do they think will watch that much Scooby Doo? Sickening!
Anyway, here are the Halloween cartoons that'd be perfect for maybe the Acme Hour:
Broomstick Bunny
Case of the Stuttering Pig
The Prize Pest
Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers
Who Killed Who?
The Impatient Patient.
Cany you guys think of some?

How about:
"A-Haunting We Will Go"
"Scaredy Cat"
"Claws For Alarm"
"Transylvania 6-5000"
"Hyde and Hare"
"Hyde & Go Tweet"
Or, for a non-WB cartoon show, I would show:
"Ghosks Is The Bunk"
"Fright To The Finish"
"Fraidy Cat"
"The Flying Sorceress"
"Shiver Me Timbers"
"Who Killed Who?"
Anyone else?:D

Well, the following have some sort of Halloween theme (from all different studios):
"Angel Puss" (WB)
"Jeepers Creepers" (WB/Porky Pig)
"Hair-Raising Hare" (WB/Bugs Bunny)
"Hittin' the Trail for Hallelujah Land" (WB/Piggy)
"Water, Water, Every Hare" (WB/Bugs Bunny)
"Witch Crafty" (Lantz/Woody Woodpecker)
"The Old House" (MGM/Bosko)
"Timid Tabby" (MGM/Tom and Jerry)
"Way Down Yonder in the Corn" (Columbia/The Fox and Crow)
"The Dream Kids" (Columbia/The Fox and Crow)
"Frighty Cat" (Famous/Herman and Katnip)
"Spooky Swabs" (Famous/Popeye)
"The Skeleton Dance" (Disney)
"Lonesome Ghosts" (Disney/Mickey Mouse)
"Pluto's Judgement Day" (Disney/Mickey Mouse)
"Donald Duck and the Gorilla" (Disney/Donald Duck)
"Trick or Treat" (Disney/Donald Duck)
"Spook-A-Nanny" (Woody Woodpecker Show)

Probably AMC could air these cartoons as part of a Fleischer Halloween special:
"Swing, You Sinner"
"Mysterious Mose"
"Bimbo's Initiation"
"Minnie the Moocher"
"Snow White"
"Betty Boop's Halloween Party"
It'd nice to see "Buddy the Detective" or "A Cartoonist's Nightmare" on the ACME HOUR. Also the two Universal Oswald cartooons, "The Mechanical Man" and "Spooks" would be perfect for Halloween. Two of my favorite Flip the Frog cartoons fit the Halloween theme quite nicely, "The Cuckoo Murder Case" and "Spooks."

--watch just to see Undead Gary Coleman. It's nice to finally see the little fella get some work. At least, unlike his costar, Dana Plato, he didn't go into skin flicks....
Apple Andy has a devil in it, that sort of makes it Halloweenie.
Hey Thad (or anyone else who's seen it), Is "Trick or Treat" the cartoon with Huey, Dewey, and Luie out trick or treating, and Donald scares them to get their candy? I haven't seen that one in long time, and am just curious...
How 'bout digging up that Bugs Bunny Howl-o-ween special? It might be interesting to see, at least more interesting than Scooby Doo.

Yep, that's the one! Donald's nephew also get Witch Hazel (not the WB version) to help get back at Donald. Expect to see it some time this month on Disney. How could I forget "Apple Andy"!
Oh, up jumped the devil!
(Chorus): Dressed in white!
Up jumped the devil!
(Chorus): What a sight!
And every time he turned around,
Up jumped the devil in the white night gown!
There's also "Satan's Waitin'" and "Devil's Feud Cake" are a few more.

--a Tom and Jerry short, I believe called "Heavenly Puss", where Tom has to get Jerry's signature on a paper of forgiveness or burn for all eternity in cat hell.
I'd also add "Bats in the Belfry", but that one gets so much darn play already.
There's also a Porky short, but the title escapes me, where he meets up with a ghost (who likes to dip cigar smoke rings in his coffee like doughnuts)....

Don't forget the Disney cult classic, HELL'S BELLS...It does star Satan.

Well, I am sure CN will find time show a bunch of spooky-themed classic shorts in the days leading up to Halloween. They did that last year, I remember a week of Halloween-themed Acme Hour and Bugs & Daffy shows (and quite a few showings of "Claws For Alarm").

Ya know what CN hasn't aired in awhile?
"Bye, Bye Bluebeard" That would be perfect for Halloween.
And what about those cartoons with mad scientists in them
like, "Switchin' Kitten" (MGM) or "Pigs is Pigs" (WB).
And while we're on the subject of Halloween 'toons (this
maybe a little off topic) I really like watching the Garfield Halloween special and the Peanuts Halloween special.

How about Soda Squirt with Flip the Frog? Or Duck Pimples with Donald Duck?
There's also the great "Sleepy Hollow" segment from Disney's Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad.

There was a 1942 MGM cartoon which was also called "Bats in the Belfry" featuring three rather crazy bats.

If you really want different Halloween costumes, try Duck Amuck and Rabbit Rampage...especially Rabbit Rampage, because I believe Bugs' face is replaced with a pumpkin head at some point. Is that valid?

Crap. This is one time I'm glad I don't get CN. And yes, 24 hours of Scooby IS scary, indeed! I mean, seriously, if they get high ratings from Scooby, this is DEFINANTLY going to lower them-not even hardcore fans want to see the same show for 24 hours!
And do you think this is a way for them to make up for the fact that they aired DragonBall Z over Scooby for a day or two?
Oh, for a Halloween toon, air INVASION OF THE BUNNY SNATCHERS, if that hasn't been said already! :D
Brandon Pierce

I had already mentoned INVASION OF THE BUNNY SNATCHERS. Even though there's nothing really scary in this cartoon, other than the part where the fake Bugs tries to lop Bugs's head off with and axe, and Bugs says to the audience, "You know something folks? This is the scariest part of the picture!"

Well, they did the same thing last year, so that must've gotten good ratings for them to do it again. They showed the 13 original episodes over and over along with some of the really terrible movies (Reluctant Werewolf, Boo Brothers), which were repeated too.

How does Scooby Doo wind up more often on CN than any other show? I know it's basically all paid for, but so are the Looney Tunes. I think Scooby Doo must have signed a contract with the devil or something!
