According to Cartoonnetwork.com's TV schedule, the 1933 Harmon/Ising Merrie Melodie WE'RE IN THE MONEY will be shown on "Bugs and Daffy." That's the first time I have ever seen one of those early B&W cartoons on that show.

That's what they posted...let's hope they stick with it.

Not neccessarily the first time. When CN used to actually be watchable, stuff like this happened quite often. Those were good times.

Yea, the only version I've seen and have of this is the redrawn Ladd entitled 'Toy shop' from around 1971. Beginning music is replaced, and there are alot of errors as usual! Also, in the end there is supposedly a splice from the source material, and even though it's not visible because redrawn, the scene where the manequin crashes into the shelf with boxes, just has him rolling along and then just him on the floor covered with boxes...what a poor job as usual!

Don't be suprised if Holiday for Shoestrings airs instead.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. The schedule did list "We're in the Money" yesterday when I checked. It must have changed this morning...

I do remember reading here that they have played a black and white version of "Wise Quacks" recently. I'm hoping they'll play that one again soon, so I can get it on tape.

Why would they do that? There's nothing controversial about WE'RE IN THE MONEY is there?
