Is it just me or does anybody else hope that Plastic Man appears in a few episodes of Justice League. Possibly guest voiced by Don Adams?

He'll have a small role in one episode, I hear.

Plastic Man animated is good anyway it comes! Small part or saving-the-Watchtower roll (like in JLA #16, if I really gotta point it out again). Plas rules.

I sure hope so. I don't know why so many people have a problem with Plastic Man. I find him funny. I have the old archive collections of Jack Cole's original work, and it's quite good. I know that if Warners goes ahead with the animated Batman Team-Up movie, Plastic Man will be one of the team-ups, so if nothing else...
As for his voice, that's kinda tricky. I don't know if Don Adams would be the right voice. He's too close to Michael Bell, who did Plas' voice back on that old "Plasticman Comedy-Adventure Show" back in the late 70's. They need someone with a light and unserious voice, but not SO unserious that it's ridiculously silly.
I also hope Captain Marvel shows up a few times.

Why not Don Adams, I mean seriously when was the last time somebody gave this guy some work. He's a comical genius for christ's sake.l

I think having Plastic Man guest star in an episode would be great! He's a character who has alot of potential. Mark Waid really made the character work in his recent run. While most of the stories were lacking in Waid's run, he still did a good job on the character.

Typecasting. That's why not. I don't think I'd be able to get Inspector Gadget or Maxwell Smart out of my head if he did the voice.

Because Casey's doing fine as Shaggy. Anyway, Adams is one of my favorite comdians, and I can't get his voice out of my head when I think of Plas.

"like, uh, batman. i could sure go for a pizza when we catch the villans topping the charts at number one for the 3rd week in a row, here's the legion of doom with their plot of world domination."
i was referencing the fact that casey did infact provide robin with a voice in the superfriends. it was hard to see him as robin while i kept hearing shaggy. because of inspector gadget and get smart, adams has unfortunately been typecast and it would be hard to see plastic man without expecting his shoes to turn into roller skates or his hat to turn into a helicopter.

I knew Casey did Robin too, I'm not an idiot. Anyway despite the fact that I also hear Agent 86 and Inspector Gadget, when I hear Don Adams' voice. For some reason I always thing Plastic Man. And if you are using this excuse will you be able to listen to Superman from TAS without thinking of him running a airport with his brother in Nantucket, or running from the police as a ...well you know.

haha, fair enough. i still think adams's voice is way too recognizable, even though he would otherwise be perfect. however, gilbert godfrey did a pretty good job of pulling off the voice of mr. mxyezpltlk (or however you spell it.)

besides you got to admit that voice coming out of Plas' mouth is hilarous and fits too. Also if they use Plastic Man, think there is any room for Elongated Man (Conan O'Brien, lol) too. Hey how about Young Justice, I would esspecially like to see Impulse.
Maybe I'm getting carried away.

impulse animated would be great. they could play with how he sees things for comic relief like they did in the comic. the young justice episode could revolve around a superboy episode and be just about the kids kinda like the episode of batman that just had supergirl and batgirl. robin, supergirl, impulse, batgirl, aqualad and whoever else young could be in it. it would definitely be a fun episode.

I wonder how they would intoduce Superboy and Impulse in cartoon continuity.

I think part of it for me, too, is that I don't see the modern incarnation of Plas as a TOTALLY silly character. Sure, he's goofy as hell, but I feel there should be a bit of solidarity to his voice as well. Plas' visual humor does so much that I think a screwy and goofy voice would kinda be overkill. I'm not thinking like John Cusack-like dry, but not Don Adams high and goofy either. Somewhere in between.

I do have to agree with Cosmocat for a minute here, I write Plastic Man for JLU 2001. Eel isn't totally silly, just goofy as hell. When I write Eel, i have to admit i don't hear him as Don Adams, i get an entirely different voice in my head, and it's really hard to identify, but it isn't Don Adams. And yet when I look at Plas in a comic or in a cartoon, I do hear Don Adams. Anyone care to explain this to me?

Becuase you're thinking "cartoon" and you immediately think higher and lighter. That's just a guess. Maybe you also have memories of the old Plastic Man cartoon (if you've seen it). Maybe there's a subconscious connection between Plastic Man's stretching and Inspector Gadget's expanding robo arms. Difficult to say.:D
