I was expecting to see this in the News section, but no one had mentioned it. Soo... article (http://www.gamespot.com/all/news/news_6090167.html) fro GameSpot.
Cartoon Network, AOL team up with the IGF
One indie shop stands to win the right to use a Cartoon Network character as well as AOL blogging tools.
There's more at stake than cash prizes at this year's Independent Games Festival (http://www.igf.com/). Partners AOL and Cartoon Network (both part of the giant Time Warner media empire) have their own competition running and will announce the winner of Project Goldmaster during the IGF festivities at this year's Game Developers Conference.
A single winner will be picked and will be given the opportunity to develop an online game using a Cartoon Network character as well as the AOL Journal blogging service. Will all this firepower result in a better game? AOL members will have a chance to see for themselves as they look over the shoulders of the dev team during the complete development process. The awards will take place March 24 at the San Jose Convention Center.
