Kitty Bobo?

Since Kitty Bobo came in second in the Big Pick and it is made by Cartoon Network Studios does anyone know if it has a chance to become a series? I know Kids Next Door won and Utica Cartoon will return but does anyone know what will happen to this great Cartoon Cartoon?

I have no idea, but I loved that little cartoon! ^^ It would be nice to have that created into a series, but I don't think it'll happen....

I went to www.kittybobo.com and it's pretty blank. It did have an email address, so I emailed him (or her). I have gotten no reply.

That was simply the best new cartoon cartoon. Too bad. Maybe something will happen :)

I'm glad I'm not alone about Kitty Bobo. It is a lot like Parappa and the humor was smart. Do you know if it is cheaper for CN to show Cartoon Network Studios programs or get new programs from outside studios? I know CN studios and Genndy Tartkovsky (sp?) worked on Imp. Inc. as well.

It's not really sure whether Utica will be on or not. They have to make a pilot and see how that works out. According to an e-mail I got from Fran, they are going to start work on the new pilot next fall but are now going to work on "an independent project, something like a holiday special."

Utica was my favorite out of the bunch, but Kitty Bobo was pretty good.

Shortly after The Big Pick, Turner Broadcasting bought Kittybobo.net, MyFreakyFamily.net, FerretAndParrot.com, and KidsNextDoor.com.

I'd love to see "Kitty Bobo" become a Cartoon Cartoon. However, I would have liked to see "Captain Sturdy" become a series as well.

Yes... kitty bobo.. is coming! Did anyone really like the Kids Next Door? I thought it was ok... I don't know. I didn't really like that much.

Well...I won't completely believe it until I hear something more, but it sounds like Kitty Bobo becoming a regular show is likely. It sounds like they might have given the go-ahead to the shows that got the most votes, since Kitty Bobo and Freaky Family were 2nd and 3rd respectively. Sort of a mixed bag on that list Matt gave us, Kitty Bobo was good and Ferret and Parrot could work, Freaky Family doesn't sound like a good idea at all.

And Spectre, I think almost all of us here were pretty disappointed when KND won. IMO it was at the bottom of the barrel along with Freaky Family.

Yay! It looks like Kitty Bobo actually has a chance! :D And I don't think that KND wasn't too great either. It didn't seem to have a good plot at *all*. :o

I contacted some people at Cartoon Network about the possibility of Kitty Bobo becoming a new series. The answer is NO. If they did register all of those domain names it was just a standard thing they do since they did not know the winner of the Big Pick. Sorry to burst your bubble gang :/

It's all right, CartoonFridays, I wasn't holding my breath. But at least they know which Big Pick Cartoon Cartoons everyone liked and might do something in the future. Isn't that what happened with Sheep in the Big City?

I was wondering about that. I think that, back when they started up the PPG page and they had George "Space Ghost" Lowe mention in commercials "Mojojojo.org or Fuzzylumpkins.com, or even Salamiswami.com" they bought up those 3. I remember usig the first 2 and getting to the CN page. But for some reason, while mojojojo.org still points to CN's home page, the other 2 bring you to the WCW webpage.

WCW? Is WCW related somehow to the Turner company? ..Yeah, don't they show it on TNT and TBS? That's probably why. Just more publicity for WCW.

WCW was bought earlier this year by the WWF, which means that Vince McMahon now controls most of the professional wrestling in this country; you'd think that's be asking for an antitrust suit as he claims it is sports entertainment *shrug* And Sheep was already ready to go before last year's Big Pick; methinks CN intended that to be a mere formality, a coronation, & was stunned when Billy & Mandy won.
