How would this best be done? Any ideas for directors: Tarintino, Fincher, Cunningham, etc. Actors? How would the core plot be relayed into 120 minutes or perhaps a trilogy? I know for some this isn't even a good idea I'm more curious about what if it were going to be done. Since all the classic adventure stories are wearing thin after LOTR and Star Wars are wrapped up, and since Adult Swim has been so popular amongst a target demographic, Hollywood is probably gonna start to look to animes and such for "fresh" ideas; what would you guys do if you had some say?

I may be incorrect, but I believe this has already been discussed at the Adult Swim board.

I suppose it might have but I haven't read anything about it. I figure it's worth talking about as long a people have new or novel things to say. If not it'll die quickly. maybe the focus could be placed more on the styles and such to make it different than that last one.

Several billion fake movie posters have pondered this. My favorite is the one where William H. Macy plays everyone.

I've never seen the need to make all these excellent animated films and shows live-action. But then, I was a fan of the animated medium long before I was an anime fan and I guess it's just personal preference.

As for which actors/studios/directors/ect. I'd like to see, I don't know. I don't really pay attention to that stuff when I see a live flick, so I wouldn't have any idea.

However, I'd like them to shoot on location - On Mars. May cost a bit.

The problem I would see is

what actors have the right attitude?
Spike is serious but he has some sense of humor

I was also thinking Trigun as a movie would be too much like others
it would be realy realy hard to accurately find somone to play em

Heh maybe they shouldn't be done live... i think it would mess em up

I would take the time and effort to look up one of the thousands upon thousands of posts in which this topic has already been discussed, and post it here before I close this thing...but it's 2:30 in the morning, and if you're absolutely dieing to discuss it once again...look it up for yourself. Sorry to sound cynical, and yes...I love CB as much as anyone, and personally would enjoy a well done Hollywood Bebop flick...but, I've already said that in any number of these threads. So...thread locked, case closed. G'night.
