View Full Version : Freakaone, Freakatwo, Freakathree, Freakazoid....
**sighs** I miss this absurdly manic series so much. No series yet has every come this close to just being so...completely RANDOM... :(
A guy blurted out Huggbees in the student area today and everybody just started acting completely insane hence this bit of nostalgia ^__^
Did Paul Rugg ever say what plans would have been made if a third season had come into fruition had it not been cancelled prematurely?

I've heard distant rumbles of a season premiere about the birth of Freakazette...figuring it'd never come, I finally wrote my own...to my knowledge it's the only origin story the lass has, which actually surprises me--one would think she'd have about ten million stories abot her floating on the Web.... :(

I can't access the old boards. While there are some things on there I would prefer to forget (like the infamous "Eminem flame war", which was the root of my decision to have an extended vacation from this board), I would like to have access to the stories that haven't been posted yet (like "That's Why The Lady Is A Freak", "The Harley Awards" and the commentary track version of "Have Yourself A Wakko Little Christmas"). Any word on how I could find the boards?
Sincerely,
John "Captain Caps" Kilduff
P.S:
This part's for Dr. Belch. In case board access is impossible, could you e-mail me a copy of "...Lady Is A Freak"? Thank yo!

I haven't bothered calling up the old boards in a while, so I can't say...fortunately I have "That's Why the Lady is a Freak!" saved, and, if no one objects, will do one better and post it at the storyboard. Brainatra, as editor, may have the "HYAWLC" and "HA" files at his place....

Well, Caps, when we went to a new server, the archives became inaccessible. Harley was going to take care of this when she got back from Texas, but she was getting settled in on September 11th; need I say more. I'm sure it'll be taken care of eventually. We just have to be patient, but as someone who's complained about such things myself I can tell ya, 'tain't easy. That's the only place afaik where Pinky Histeria & the Brain can be found. But Harley will get to it when she can, I have no doubt. And I know I'm not Belchie, but I think The Lady Is a Freak is now in the WBC Fanfiction section. I could be wrong, tho. But I'm pretty sure that Freakazette hasn't made it there yet.

Between Sean Carolan and Jennifer Moore, there are a couple F! scripts that would have been destined for the 3rd season (Paul Rugg would've green-lighted 'em.) AFAIK, there's no copy floating around the internet ...
As for what Paul Rugg had for other plans ... I don't believe he had much. Post 2nd season (with the knowledge that there wouldn't be a 3rd season), he was working on the Daffy Duck show project (which subsequently was also given the Network treatment). That was the last I spoke to him.
I admit that I didn't inquire much beyond that, as it prolly would've brought up some unwanted feelings (not to be expressed while still at the studio, at least). Essentially, F! was history already, and we had to move on, whether we like it or not.
-- Kane ... who met him 3 times, and not once asked for an autograph. STUPID STUPID me!

"Two little cupids with fat little wings, fell from the sky and fell on the thing"
"And she said, 'Hey Sally! Wanna go play and pretend we're kitties?'. She said, 'NO! I'm hanging with the wrong crowd!'"

God I loved Freakazoid and I miss it dearly... now I know how Freak felt when D*sney got rid of the little boat rides.
"NOOOOOOO!!!!"
and I believe the song was "Ten little angels with chubby wings, too heavy to fly they crash into things"

Ah well. There's always Country Bears... while the flick's being made by Disney, our friend Paul Rugg wrote it and Peter Hastings directed it, and I hear that a great deal of the Freak's subversiveness slipped through.
And Christopher Walken, at Hastings' request, is the bad guy! How cool is that?
