Jumped the gun earlier Friday, so this is the retry. I believe it already started on Saturdays but in my area KWB starts on Sundays... Well, y'all know the drill....
Oh yeah anyone got the summary for it? :D

Whoo hoo! A talkback! Thanks Noahrave!
Summary: Static and Hotstreak are forced to work together to escape from an island they are taken to by Edwin Alva"s men. It seems Alva needs Metahuman powers to revive Omniferious and they've already captured Rubberband Man, Talon and Gear. Don't read my review if you don't want to be further spoiled.
Review:
You know a cartoon is good when you wish it was a two-parter. It was great seeing RBM again even if it was just a cameo. His new costume is neat! It's also cool that Junior's back. It would be great if all this is tied into the season finale. Static and Omnifarious need a rematch!
Hotstreak was really fleshed out more here. Him being hospitalized when he was a kid makes sense because he has always seemed the most unstable of the meta-breed. It was cool that Alva gave him that chopper as thanks.
I loved how Gear was the one to figure out how to revive Junior correctly. His insistance that he was a genius was true and funny. I didn't find him annoying this episode at all.
I hope this is heading to a big two-part season finale. Since Kids WB isn't likely to renew Static no matter how good it's ratings are I hope Dwayne McDuffie and company are able to give us a great possible series ender a la X-Men: Evolution's "Ascension". If Mr. McDuffie is reading this could you give me an idea if the season finale will be satisfying? No plot points please but I would love to see it go all-out with Static, Gear, She-Bang, Rubberband Man, Ebon, Talon, Hotstreak, Edwin Alva, Sharon, Robert, Daisy and Omniferious. Please no specifics, but will I be happy?
All in all, a terrific episode. *****

I really liked this episode. In my opinion, it was the best this season. For once, static didnt have to rely on any "guest stars" and celebrity voices. (unless you count Kadeem Harrdison as Ruberbandman's grunts) I kinda had a feeling we would get a resolution on the whole Omniferious thing pretty soon. And now after this, we get (shudder) the basketball celebrity filled episode. Or as I like to call it, static and the super lakers!!!
I dont think they would end static just yet. In my opinion, since it has been on the air, its been treated like the underdog to kids wb. Theyd only air it during the winter time and such (feb-april) and it never got to premeir with other shows like yugioh and such. Now Its on weekdays for everyone to see. Thats gotta say something progress wise. I see at least 1 more season. I love this show. Id hate to see it die.

Static is my second fav. DC show, i wish they would have action figs, oh well
back to the subject i didn't get a chance to see this episode, since they made it an earlier time, i like the 10:30 time it was usually on, Static rules!

This is probably my favorite episode of the new season. Seeing Static and Hotstreak cuffed together and having to team up was interesting and brought some good development to hotstreak's character. Rubberbandman's cameo was cool I like his new look.

Definitely agree with the above. It's been a while that Hotstreak's had significant screen time in an episode and we do learn a little more about him. We know now that he was in a hospital for 2 years which caused him to be a little fearful when he realized where he was. I thought he showed his true colors once he and Static were free and abandoned him, but showed a change of heart when he decided to return to help him and Alva's son. That itself was uncharacteristic, but who knows? If anything, this could show that he has the potential to change for the better. Other good points to this episode were seeing the two work together, although they were initially forced to as a result of their predicament. I also liked the return of Rubberband Man and his new darker colored outfit (definitely better than the purple spandex) although he only had a couple of lines here. It was certainly long overdue considering he wasn't featured at all in season 3. I do remember he was in "Consequences" which aired last year, but technically that was a season 2 ep. Overall, this is one of this season's best episodes. :)

Another than having more commercial beaks than usual, this was a major tie-in episode of a slew of Static Characters and can concur with the fact that this could be a two-parter episode. It went really fast. I was wondering how they can make the viewer actually sympathize with a character act Hotstreak, considering he used initimidation, threats and cause physical injury to get what he wants. And that's before he was hit with the Big Bang. He has some problems in his past that could contribute to his criminal and aggressive behavior. I am still confused to his change of heart to actually assist in the recovering of Alva's son. I could guess that he wanted to get some insurance of leaving the island by getting Alva Sr. or I guess he saw a chance to get something out of it in the end. OTOH, seeing how Static was willing to help someone in need I am wondering if Hotstreak admired Static's courage or does it still have to do with him being in the hospital? I recall he has a sister, or was it an excuse to get an autograph from lil' Romeo? oh well.
I love the return of Rubberbandman and the good use of Talon, she is starting to be likable when Ebon is not around, although I believe she's been kidnapped for the second time by unknown assailants. Somebody in the JL's CG department has made a stop-by for Static Shock for this episode, considering there were numerous vehicles and machines there.
Notes:
#1 - See Flash, Static caught up with a fast sportscar when Hotstreak stole it, you could have caught that van on Brave and Bold with no trouble.
#2 - Hotstreak "firing up" after existing the car to fight Static. Is he actually starting to evolve with his powers? (yes, I am hoping for the "firey" hair Hotstreak from the opening creds) good chance of Pokemon evolution jokes from Static as well.
#3 - The guards/troops with the huge cattle prods. Judging from the Static Shock mini-series, were they like the dudes who were kidnapping Bang Babies to drain them of their powers?
#4 - Anyone heard the Star Wars theme playing were Hotstreak and Static rode on the hover pod to escape the drones?
#5 - Virgil must of beefed up during the time being Static, he doesn't look like a pushover when Streaky used to pick on him before the Bang. If it came down to it in a powerless fight, could Static take out his old bully from school? Considering he must have learn some things from Bats and GL.
#6 - Alva Jr. One thing, nice to see him reunited with his father and Alva's dedication to curing his son. But does Alva Jr. still have his powers?
#7 - The Cops and criminals must have been totally taking a nap during the whole affair. The sports car Hotstreak stole is STILL in the alley where he and Static left it!!! WTF?!?
#8 - Okay car is a prop for dialogue for the sake of Hotstreak getting the hovercraft. Alva please tell me that that thing is unarmed and ouch, Streaky brushing aside the building. Please tell me it's unarmed, we don't want a repeat of Batman Beyond's Joyride of the Jokerz' stealing that high tech ship. (since it's in the past though, would that be a first then? :D )
I'm done with my rant now, I like this one very much though.

Well Flash was repeatedly shot at and had to continue jumping to avoid getting hit as well as having to go back to save the people from the building collapse. But you are right though. With all that city traffic, he should have been able to catch up to the van easily.
#2 - Hotstreak "firing up" after existing the car to fight Static. Is he actually starting to evolve with his powers? (yes, I am hoping for the "firey" hair Hotstreak from the opening creds) good chance of Pokemon evolution jokes from Static as well.
It looks like they are considering he was able to fly since the first episode. And he was off the ground for an extended amount of time.
#4 - Anyone heard the Star Wars theme playing were Hotstreak and Static rode on the hover pod to escape the drones?
Didn't notice the theme music, but I did notice the sound effects from the air cycle and the drones chasing theme. Certainly similar to Star Wars there.
#5 - Virgil must of beefed up during the time being Static, he doesn't look like a pushover when Streaky used to pick on him before the Bang. If it came down to it in a powerless fight, could Static take out his old bully from school? Considering he must have learn some things from Bats and GL.
There is that possibility, but unlike most cartoon shows, time does pass here and Virgil does look older than he did in the previous seasons.
#6 - Alva Jr. One thing, nice to see him reunited with his father and Alva's dedication to curing his son. But does Alva Jr. still have his powers?
I doubt it. When he was Omnifarious, he manipulated small packets of the mutagen to change and gain whatever types of powers he wanted. It was when he OD'd on them that caused him to turn to stone. Hopefully, he'll be smart enough not to mess with the stuff again.
#7 - The Cops and criminals must have been totally taking a nap during the whole affair. The sports car Hotstreak stole is STILL in the alley where he and Static left it!!! WTF?!?
I guess a minor oversight considering all that's happened in this episode.
#8 - Okay car is a prop for dialogue for the sake of Hotstreak getting the hovercraft. Alva please tell me that that thing is unarmed and ouch, Streaky brushing aside the building. Knowing Hotstreak, he'll probably crash it and end up going back to stealing cars or motorcycles again. He was better off with just getting one of the skycycles. Of course, he'd probably crash that, too!:p

I think this is probably the best of the season so far...it could be, but of course I missed the "Army Of Darkness" episode.

This was my favorite episode this year by far. Rubberband Man is my favorite character by far and it was great to have him back even for a cameo. I ask my question for Dwayne McDuffie again bacause I'm a noodge. If this turns out to be Static's last season will I be satisfied with the season finale?
So now we know where Joker got his BB outfit idea from: Rubberband Man!
This was a really fun, take-your-brain-out episode. The only annoying thing was that Gear figured out how to revive Alva Jr. so fast, but that's what happens when it's only a half-hour.
