Wow, ripoffs.

Lord Dalek

So they're including Baffler Meal on the ATHF set. This mean it wont be on Vol. 2 of SGC2C whenever that comes out?

Hope I have gift cards come June.

I wonder if Seth will do commentary for "Super Trivia."

And that ATHF cover looks sweet.

Hmmm, so the classic red logo is now officialy dead. RIP: Original AS Logo 2001-2003.

Bleh. LESS EPISODES. At least the covers are cool. =(

Those covers are great. So, these are gonna be cheaper than the last ones since there's less episodes, right?

The Landstander
02-20-2004, 11:14 PM
13 EPISODES?!! That blows. 16 isn't even a non-ripoff number for a 12 minute series to begin with, and they're going down from that? >=o

At least these have better looking special features.

I'll buy it even if its a ripoff, but still. =(

Also, why does Sealab have to only have deleted scenes from one of my least favorite epiosdes of the series?

Lord Dalek
02-20-2004, 11:16 PM
13 EPISODES?!!

Oh well. I'll buy it anyway. =( Hey, they're quickly running out. I'm gonna buy it just for "Ghost of Christmas Past From The Future".

Baffler Meal
Deleted Scenes on both sets
Audio Commentaries on ATHF set
Uncensored Radio Free Sealab

Teh S uck:

Have to wait for vol. 2 for a lot of the good episodes of Sealab (i.e Tinfins, Bizarro, Vacation)
No word on any commentaries on Sealab set

http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif The artwork is still WIP, and untill just recently, Warner always used slipcovers and digipaks for their two-diskers.

EDIT- And there are 14 episodes on the ATHF disk, not 13

Where the HELL is Captain Murphy on the Sealab cover????

Watch the UNCENSORED version of Radio Free Sealab just be them saying a bunch or random or benign (darn, crap, etc.) words and just bleeped them out for show.

Dogasu

So are the episodes on the disc going to be put in the order listed? Because if they are, they've really messed around with the order (Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past of the Future should be right after Mail Order Bride).

And I still wonder how they pick where in a season to stop. Last time, they stopped just two episodes shy of the second season when there was obviously plenty of room on the discs to put them, and this time they're stopping less than halfway through Season Three.

What about Der Dieb for Sealab? That was the last episode of Season One.

I don't really like the (preliminary?) Aqua Teen cover art- it's too dark. Sealab's isn't too bad but what would make it better is if the entire cast were on the front.

13 episodes of an 11 minute show= roughly 6-7 episodes of a 22 minute show, for those that care. I'll still buy 'em, though. Be happy that these shows are even coming to DVD at all.

Sad, less episodes for probably the same price as Vol. 1 of ATHF.

I'm disappointed however that Sealab (apart from Captain Murphy not being on the cover) doesn't even episodes like "Der Dieb", "Bizzaro", and "Hail Squishface". If they added two or more of those episodes I would not hesitate to buy it.

However, I'm still going to buy them.

I hope that's just temp. art for ATHF. I really don't like it.

I'm not gonna buy Sealab but nice art.

MORE EPISODES AND HOME MOVIES DVD!!

Why is everyone complaining about the cover art? Are you going to watch the DVDs or just buy it to stare at the box?

bassist
02-21-2004, 04:06 PM
I think just staring at the box sounds about right. I mean, we've already seen the episodes already, right?

Artimus Gigan
02-21-2004, 05:36 PM
Ya know the cover art, if you think about it the most viewed part of a DVD case is the spine. That's basicly how people store them, but also I too think the cover art is definetly temp.

MovieGuy
02-21-2004, 05:36 PM
The reason I complain is because when I'm not watching it; I will be looking at it. Besides, compared to the other [as] DVD boxes, it looks like it was designed quickly.

Isn't Baffler Meal the SGC2C episode?

Swordfish_II
02-21-2004, 05:39 PM
Isn't Baffler Meal the SGC2C episode?
It is. Though I'm interested in how they have a commentary for an episode that isn't on the episode list. Unless the only version of the episode on there is with the commentary, in which case you'd have to buy it on an SGC2C DVD to be able to hear it.

The Sealab cover looks at little too happy for my tastes, but that ATHF cover kicks ass! Especially when it's next to the picture of Robin on the right.

The fans demanded it, and we provide. Pod-Six productions presents..

THE DVD COMMENTARY SIMULATOR

1) Gather a collection of action figures, stuffed animals, puppets, or food items.

2) Name each one. Suggestions include, "Mike Lazzo," "Dave Willis," "MC Chris," "C. Martin Croker," "Brett Butler," "Tom Servo," "Leonard Maltin," "Mr. Foofy-Pants," "Shelley Long." Use one of these or make up your own.

3) Start the DVD. When it plays, choose one of your "commentators" and make it "talk" by speaking in an unusual voice while moving it up and down. Possible statements include a critique of the material showing, a humorous behind-the-scenes anecdote, a request for more drinks, or make up your own.

4) Repeat step 3 with the next commentator. Continue until the program ends.

I can understand WS wanting the DVDs to have the same episode count, but I feel it's a crime to not have "Broodwich", "Total Re-Carl" and "Revenge of the Trees" alongside "Remonster"...that's a punishable offense that makes me very, very bitter.

I'm still going to buy them, though.

After re-watching Universal Remonster again, I thing I know something that needs to be an Easter egg in the second Aqua Teens DVD: the "This Is Your Left" song (a la the Assistant Living Dracula Easter egg on the first Aqua Teens DVD).

It's not worse than anime DVDs that only have 3 episodes on each. That's really teh s uck.
