I saw this video and it struck me as rather odd.....

Is it just me, or could the problem with Pixie have something to do with the fact she is being chased by an one eyed monster?

Monster Rancher is one of those Pokemon wanna-bes...from what little I've seen of it, I'm guessing the one-eyed guy is her pet.

That thing - and it is somebody's pet - is Reason One why I could never watch Monster Rancher. It's just to creepy to think about, a Murine ad come to life.

Is the girl even called Pixie?

What surprises me is that there's no sign of Genki. Isn't the boy character an important part of selling these kinds of show?

I'd like to speculate about his whereabouts, but I'd better not.

I think the boy is on a different box. I know there's three or four of them.

What's going on with Kazu and Kenta?! That's right up there with the crotch grab from "Sub Zero Ice Punch."

checked Amazon just now... There's about 8 videos of MR... I tried watching it, couldn't get into it.

As for Kazu and Kenta... that's a screengrab from episode 26, which will be on my next tape(coming in 2 weeks, hopefully)... Started as a fight, I think.

I saw a bit of Ruki/Juri in my latest batch of eps. Maybe another crossbreeding crush, also. Yamaki's gotten on my good side... And word is that Impmon's problem is sometimes a path to STDS (not literally, just _think_ about it)

So far, I know of 3 Tamer/digimon pairs from the get-go (Ruki and the Takari boys)...

3 classmates with one digimon each, one of whom I've just seen getting a digivice. They became more visible starting in episode 24's theme song..

The brunnette boy who was shown in Ken's flashbacks last season....

Word at megchan's board is that one of the siblings of a starting Tamer is confirmed as having Lopmon. Haven't paired that person yet, if that's what you're asking... I suspect it might be the same issue that Takeru and Hikari posed in the first season.

Ai and Makato... Dunno if the dub's gotten to them yet, another sister and brother pair of Digidestined/Tamers... I've only seen them once, unsure of their ages... Seen more recent screengrabs of 'em, tho'....

Culumon still has no Tamer in sight.

Yeah, Ken's old chum. I have the ungodly feeling he'll be used primarily to connect the original crew with the Tamers crowd, both in the dub and in a few thousand fanfics, just on the basis of two don't-blink-or-you'll-miss-him flashbacks. He's probably going to be shipped with darn near everybody.

So far, I've seen a couple things with Ryou (that's his name) being paired with oSAMu- hopefully that'll mean he'll be with someone living for once... But now that I think of it....

Takato and Jenrya, Hirokazu and Kenta, Ryou and Makato, Juri and Ruki, Shuicion(sp?) and Ai....

It'd be awfully weird, though, because the dub seems to be the only version pushing season 1+2 as a tv show. That makes the universe/dimension hopping all the weirder.

Anyway, Ryou 's a character primarily used in Japanese videogames with a different Digimon partner in most of 'em. You know that whole episode focusing on Ken? The whole point was to sell Ryou's latest videogame, where he has a V-mon and tags along with chibi-Ken and Wormmon...
