Episode #68 - Doctor's Orders
Original Airdate - February 18, 2004
While Enterprise travels through a section of the Expanse lethal to active human minds, Dr. Phlox must put the entire crew to sleep and handle all aspects of a working starship, but even with T'Pol's help, the doctor's skills might not be enough to keep the crew safe when complications arise.

A very good episode tonight. Phlox is hilarious and I knew from the moment "T'Pol" met him in the lauch bay that she was fake. However, I wonder how the Doctor never questioned her existance before, wouldn't he have remembered putting the real T'pol to sleep?
It was great to see more of Portho's tonight, I was really missing him. The Hoshi bath scene was really spooky, yikes!
In the last twenty minutes when it became real apparent that "T'pol" was really herself, I gained a lot of respect for Balock's (SP?) acting ability, she's great at comedy. I was giggling inside when her character T'pol started acted like a child. :p

This was okay. I enjoyed the fact that even though Star Trek has done episodes like this in the past it still had a surprise ending. Nice fake-out. Porthos was cute as always, and T'Pol was a blast. Jolene Blalok has some comedic chops. I'd like to see her in a comedy when Enterprise ends. I also thought Dr. Phlox doing his rounds nude was funny. Normally on Enterprise nudity is done with titalation but this was much subtler and funnier. A decent episode for a change. *** out of *****.

I was actually very surprised. The basic plot is a blatant ripoff of the Voyager episode "One", but yet somehow I think I enjoyed "Doctor's Orders" more. For one, it centered on John Billingsly, whose talents are being horribly wasted on that show. And though I had the ending figured out practically from the getgo(T'Pol not really being there) it was still a fun episode and I liked how they showed that she COULDN'T be there, such as she never operated any machines. She didn't touch a thing! For the first time in a LONG time, I'll give this episode ****.
