oh where, oh where can it be?
It was short and sweet, and just plain cute,
oh where, oh where can it be?

Oh, sorry pal. I meant to private-message you about that. Well, anyway, I am the one who deleted your post. No personal offense or anything, but that one REALLY had nothing to do with cartoons; and it was all political opinions...we've both had posts deleted for discussing such things before. I know, there have been other off-topic posts on this board, but I think it's been generally accepted that strong political opinions aren't part of this forum.

all I said was 'stupid' - I've got LOTS of stronger terms...:D
now, how about a 'free-for-all' board? (it would free up so MUCH admin/mod time - always trying to make your lives easier...)

Sounds good to me, but I just moderate...Brian's the guy to ask about creating a new board. Like I say, I don't mean to be rude, I just didn't think that post was appropriate.

There are plenty of actually politcally-related board where you could post things like that...if you actually want to try to look around for one.

Imagine my joy. HH, you might've noticed they're a bit more strict about o/t posts on this board than they are on the WBC, where flame wars are liable to erupt without notice. Of course if I see something like that about to happen I might come up with an apt quote from some '90's Warner toon; so far it's worked.

I don't think a free for all board would be a good idea. I appreciate the work Brian, DG, and others put into these boards to keep them one of the best message boards on the net. I don't think a free for all board idea would go over too well. A board where you could break the rules? Not gonna happen!

a. still want a place where we are free from the wail of those who live their lives LOOKING for SOMETHING to which to take offense.
(yes, an un-PC old leftie in SF - what a shock, huh?;) )
b. are we deleting all posts relating to the war, or has the reality dampened the enthusiasm?
