Slightly OT: Hans Conried on Game Show Network now

Hans is on Match Game '77 reruns right now. This is the guy who hosted Fractured Flickers, voiced Snidely Whiplash and Capt. Hook. So if you want to see this, turn to Game Show Network.

I don't think that's off-topic. Conried also supplied the voice of the taxidermist cat in "Woody Dines Out" and Wally Walrus in a few, in the ones where he didn't have a Sweedish accent.

Well, I guess no one else saw this, but I was glad to see Hans. If you haven't seen this old show, basically a contestant is given a sentence and is asked to fill in the blank. The panel of celebrities also fills in the blank, and the idea is that the contestant should match the panel. I believe the second sentence given was something like "Dr. Frankenstein says, 'I have my mother's eyes. I keep them in my ______'" Hans filled in the blank with the clever "eyes-box" (pun on icebox). The crowd found this very clever and he got a lot of laughs and applause. The crowd liked him a lot after that. I can't help but wonder if working with Jay Ward helped influence the pun. We didn't get to hear a whole lot from Hans, but it was nice to see him there. Usually they had guests on this show for at least a full week, so maybe Hans will be on the show when it runs in the same time slot next week. I'll try to remember to watch it.
