I'll get right to the point. I have little interest in video games anymore. I have plenty of games, but they all seem boring to me. This is what I got collecting dust:

PSX
-Tekken 2
-Final Fantasy VII
-Star Ocean 2
-Parappa the Rapper
-Um Jammer Lammy
-RPG Maker
-Valkyrie Profile
-Tales of Destiny 2
-MTV Music Generator (I play)
PS2
-Zone of the Enders
-Legaia 2
-Grandia Xtreme
-Marvel vs Capcom 2
-Dark Cloud 2
-Fighter Maker 2
-Guilty Gear X2
-Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
-MTV Music Generator 2
-Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus
GameCube
-Soul Calibur 2
-Mario Party 5
-Viewtiful Joe
-FZero GX
-Super Smash Brothers Melee (I play)
Xbox
-HALO
-The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
-Splinter Cell
-Dead or Alive
-Blinx the Time Sweeper
-Shenmue 2
-Jet Set Radio Future
-Grand Theft Auto Double Pack (GTA III hasn't been touched yet.)
PC
-Black & White
-Fallout 2
-plenty of "other games"

You all see that list?! Why am I so bored?! I buy these games, but I play them once or twice and then put them on the shelf. Has anybody else ever been in a situation like this? Will I grow out of it? I mean, apparently I still like games. Why else would I buy them?

Have you considered online trading or selling?

I mean, apparently I still like games. Why else would I buy them? Could it be because you want something to pass the time? That's a definite possibility. A big one is that you're just going through a "lull". I go through gaming lulls now and then- for a good seven months I didn't buy any PS2 games, but then I got back into it. Just take a break for a while (like over a month), and one day, either revisit some of your old games or buy a new one.

I've considered selling them. As a matter of fact, I've sold a lot of them. But the rest, I can't seem to let go of.
"Once I get rid of [insert game here], I know I'm gonna wanna play it again."
So the rest of the crap I have is gonna stick around, due to the nagging thought of a recurring desire to play something in particular.

Rent something. That's pretty low intensive. For example, I rented Dark Cloud 2 for a month, got everything in it, really high levels and it only cost me 10 dollars. Plus I have the save still.

Without getting too philosophical, could it be you're looking for something to fill a need within you? A lot of people buy stuff perhaps not constantly, but often enough, when they're looking for something to satisfy something inside them.

I knew a guy who did that with cars. Which added up to quite a sum of money, now that I think of it...
